Food is delicious, never fails to impress!! Lovely restaurant setting too. Service is a little slow, and they sometimes book in too many tables it seems for level of cover, but that said it's always a joy going there for the food and atmosphere, don't go if you are in a rush, then you'll be great!
Great dinner last night at Takayama, Ipswich for the first time. The food and vibe here is fantastic and there’s even a robot cat that brings cutlery to the table. We had some great sushi as our appetisers and would highly recommend. Service was a bit on the slow side but we did book last minute.
Best sushi I've had for miles without a doubt and very reasonably priced for the quality. Most places the fish is ice cold and flavourless but it's so good here! Everything else was great as well.
Came here pretty late on in the evening without a booking, got seated straight away and our order was taken pretty quickly. My partner said the Katsu curry was the nicest one he’d ever had and my sushi was delicious.
Amazing food & service! We absolutely love the deluxe assortment, all the Teryaki dishes & the kayak curry. The new location is gorgeous and much more spacious too. Can’t wait to return to our favourite restaurant!

Cannot believe it took me so long to discover Takayama. This is a gem of Ipswich, the staff are lovely, restaurant is clean and cosy with intimate booths, it is great to be able to see the sushi being made and the food is delicious and just feels "clean". We love it here!

Probably some of the best looking and tasting food. 5 stars for the entire experience, without a doubt. Definitely check it out if you are in Ipswich.
