We were a table of 5, with no booking. The staff were welcoming and soon found us a table. The restaurant has a relaxed vibe and the staff were really pleasant. I had the lamb Saag (Saagwalla) with mushroom rice. It was average to good - at best. It certainly was no better. What struck a number of our party was the small amount of lamb in the curry. We chose the restaurant due to good reviews and close proximity to our hotel. I was disappointed with the food, but the restaurant itself was pleasant. I would go back.

We have been here several times now and the food has been delicious every time. It’s quite unassuming to look at but the food is 5*. A treat for all the family.

Visited ChutneyZ for evening meal, the Bistro is informal and service polite and attentive. The food was very tasty and both my wife and I felt full once finished. A genuine and delightful experience and would highly recommend.

This is by far the best Indian restaurant in Ipswich! I cannot fault them at all, the food is absolutely fantastic, we come as often as we can. The service is outstanding, all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Every single dish is delicious, especially the ghobi Manchurian!

The food is absolutely amazing here and the service is second to none. The staff are always friendly and the key to a great restaurant is building rapport and a relationship with your customers, the staff at Chutneyz do this better then any other Indian restaurant that I've been to. The Ghobi manchurian is out of this world, I could easily have it any day of the week. The lamb rogan josh is devine and the biryani is amazing. The combination of great food and fantastic service makes this easily one of our top spots in Ipswich. The staff are always super friendly and are happy to go the extra mile. As I said in the title, easily the best Indian restaurant in Ipswich!

We visited Chutneyz on February lunchtime. We were one of 2 other couples in there at the time but soon became the only couple. We had the Gobi Manchurian and samosa chaat which was very good. The seafood meze was okay. Overall we were very satisfied with the food but I am afraid that is where it ends. We were waiting over half hour for our meal and could see that various take away orders were coming in and being served ahead of us. It felt like a long wait after our orders were taken before the food arrived and almost to the point where are wanted to leave! It was frustrating as were the only 2 sitting customers in the restaurant. Here is some friendly advice for Chutneyz; 1. If the meal is going to take as long as half hour, it would be courteous to tell your customers in advance. 2. Don't prioritise take away orders over the people sitting in your premises. It's not great customer service. 3. It would help that in view of the significant wait for food, that you have some nibbles for customers at the table. Ie puppadoms 4. It is usual in most restaurants to be asked if everything is okay once the food arrives. We felt like were left to our own devices.

OMG! These people know how to make paneer taste delicious. The herbs and spices surprised and delighted us. Also lovely onion bhaji and vegetable jalfrezi. A must visit if you go to Ipswich.

Visited ChutneyZ with four friends and really enojoyed the food and the service. Decoration is quite simple, but we quite liked it like that and certainly makes for a different atmosphere than the standard Indian restaurant. The only reason I didn't give it 5 out of 5 is that I thought some of the dishes were a little on the small side. Meat dishes seemed fine, but the fish dish was a little small. Having said that, the price of th food is reasonale so I would go for a selection of dishes along with rice and or naan next time round. Overal an enjoyable expereince.

Third time visiting the amazing new restaurant. ChutneyZ is a breath of fresh air. The food is magnificent and the service is impeccable. The butter Naan is the best I have ever tasted. Everything we have ever eaten there has been as close to perfect as you could want and the prices are more than reasonable. Can't to go back again.

3rd meal now at Chutneyz, this cafe is gorgeous. The food is so good and the service is wonderfully warm and friendly. I have been vegetarian for two months now and wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy my meal as much as when I have eaten here in the past and ordered meat dishes. It was just as good though, if not better. I can highly recommend the samosa chaat starter, our lovely waitress recommended it and it was so good - veggies samosa topped with crunchy chickpeas and a gorgeous sauce. Mains were really good too and the butter naan is still divine. Love this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to ChutneyZ where we ate terrifically aromatic and sweet-tasting curry, experienced good service and all in a pleasant restaurant environment. Among our order was a Channa masala main, Dal tadka and Saag Aloo as well as two starters which included three fresh, non-greasy, excellent onion bhajees. Each plate was filled with flavour and spices which made for an incredibly appetising meal much unlike a regular curry elsewhere. Our table service was generally swift and we completed card payments at the end - cash appears their preferred option, but we could still pay by card. I would highly recommend ChutneyZ to anyone fancying and Indian meal in Ipswich.

Great Naan- was perfectly cooked and one of the softest I have ever had. I loved this game pace. The price was great, friendly service. The chicken tikka was really good, although not fresh out of the Tandoor. I loved my lamb rogan Josh. Great flavour. May come back again this week.

Delicious food, cooked using fresh ingredients. Welcoming and friendly staff. The naan bread is amazing! Nice, clean atmosphere. Stop complaining about the card machine not working, there’s a cash machine opposite. We love returning here!

Me and friend visited at about 14:00 on a Friday afternoon. We had the mezze fish platter with a mixture of prawns, white fish, scallops and squid, all really well cooked and seasoned served with some really tasty chutneys. For mains my friend had lamb rogan josh and I had chicken chattinad with a butter naan and garlic and coriander naan to share. Both dishes were freshly cooked and delicious, with moist large chunks of meat. The naan were something else, crispy on the bottom and drizzled with melted butter, the tastiest naan either of us has ever tried. The decor is basic but modern, staff are friendly and attentive. If you haven't tried it, give it a go well worth a visit.

Lunch time visit. No one in there. Tables not been cleared. Credit card machine not working for the 3rd time. They obviously want cash which you can make your own minds up about. Overcharged by 8 pound. Used to recommend this place to my friends as food is good but not anymore!

We received a very warm welcome the waiters were all very attentive even though it was rather busy, you could not fault the service. The menu was interesting and varied.
