Found the Stables on an article on best places for afternoon tea on EADT website. I rang & booked for 2 adults & 2 children. Rang this morning to make it 3 adults...no problems at all :) even when I said 1 vegetarian, 1 diabetic, & 1 just plain awkward (....me :o) Unfortunately it was raining when we arrived but the kids still enjoyed feeding the ducks when the came to knock on the door (with their beaks...lol) for their dinner!! ;) we had the most amazing afternoon tea, with rolls & sandwiches, scones, butter, jam & cream fruit cakes & homemade Easter cupcakes.....copious tea & hot chocolates (+ trimmings) for the kids!! See photos!! We were made most welcome & nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning very soon & hopefully be able to sit outside by the pond! Thank you, thank you.

Finally managed to get to this lovely coffee shop after driving past it on numerous occasions on my way to a campsite in nearby Waldringfield. I walked there today with my dog and we both received a warm welcome, he was even allowed inside the cafe but I chose to sit outside as it was sunny and he was muddy! Lovely jacket potato with chilli and good coffee, not expensive at all - I hope to return again soon!

Wow, I've been meaning to go to this coffee shop for so long, we decided to go this weekend and it was great. Lovely staff, lovely food, nom, nom, nom! And what a lovely setting, we stayed for a while starting inside then deciding to sit out side. Both were wonderful experiences, outside was just beautiful looking over the duck pond, then over to the lovely Suffolk countryside. We will definitely be returning and with the ideas I heard about today for the end of October I can not wait.

I really enjoyed my coffee and cheese scone with butter and chilly jam it was delicious. It was made more enjoyable sitting outside watching the ducks mess about on the pond. They were a joy to watch and entertaining on a warm sunny autumn morning. I highly recommend this place for its food and atmosphere 5* from me.

We booked The Stables for an afternoon tea to celebrate my parent's Diamond wedding anniversary. It was perfect, lovely food, friendly atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Lovely location too, my daughter loved feeding the ducks in the pond outside. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

Lovely little cafe with nice choice of food and baked goods. Tea comes in a tea pot and is exceptional as its loose leaf tea. A real treat when out. Nice range of baked goods if you want a sweet treat. Hosts some local craft products too. The cafe looks out onto the duck pond too.

We had such a lovely brekky here, the staff are friendly and helpful and made sure I got something gluten and dairy free that was really yummy too, and my chai oat latte was delicious. Would love to come back here, might bring the dog next time too! Also get the duck food, the ducks at the pond eat right out of your hand, 12/10 x

Went to our daughter-in-laws baby shower, the tables were set out interconnecting so no-one felt left out. We had afternoon tea which was lovely. There was an abundance of different finger sandwiches although none were just ham which would've been our granddaughters choice. I should've requested some when I put in our order weeks ago, my fault! We each had our own pot of fresh leaf tea, no teabags here! There was a cake stand for each group of three. The coffee shop was easily accessible, clean and very pleasant.

I loved this café; a beautiful setting and good choice for lunch. Lovely home made cakes etc. It's a delight to sit outside near the duckpond on a beautiful summer's day and while away a few hours . However I do struggle with mobility and every time I venture out it's with trepidation, hoping that I won't have to walk far and that I'll easily find a comfortable spot to sit. Last time I came here if was quite full with only two tables free - one large table and one small pushed against the wall. I didn't feel able to navigate to the small table do my don and I sat at the larger table. After sitting for a few minutes we were asked to move across the café to the smaller table 'in case' a larger group came in. It was a struggle but I did it. We had to move the table a little to get my crutches in. We ordered and were then asked to move AGAIN to allow better access to the crafts. This meant I now had my back to the drinks fridge and was continually having to shuffle around. Being asked to move once when every movement is painful is not nice but TWICE? I do like the cafe but will be more circumspect in future and only go in if I can see an outside table free before getting out of the car. Please be more considerate of people's personal situation before asking them to move around the premises.

Lovely food at this little coffee shop at the edge of town. I really enjoyed the quiche on the specials board - absolutely delicious. The tea was properly made, and the coleslaw was yummy. I really enjoyed the lady running the place, who was a fierce and scary. The food came out quickly and more people coming in were sternly warned not to sit in the corner. Good food and stern women certainly work for me.
