A very enjoyable place to have a Sunday roast. We had the pork roast and the vegetarian nut roast. Portions plentiful and of reasonable quality. The menu was good and extensive and would like to come back to try. A good range of puddings too, the syrup sponge and custard was exactly what the docto
Fab meal halfway through our cycle around Alton Water. Very friendly service. Great food and portion size. My sticky toffee pudding and custard was delicious. Toilets could be improved.
Perfect end to a day at Alton Water. The welcome was warm, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. I had fish pie for £10 and the desserts are amazing! Can't recommend enough, great place to chill - will be back!!
This is a hidden gem! We camped here for a couple nights and had an amazing time. It’s a cosy pub with a lovely beer garden and a delicious food. The staff are all fantastic and very accommodating. Thank you for a relaxing weekend away.
We stopped for a break whilst on a family bike ride. The staff and locals were so friendly and the food was great. We liked it so much, we'll definitely be booking a table next time.
Great food Lovely little pub with ample free parking Dog friendly Good Food Good Prices Genuine Good country pub
Lovely people, dealt with a party of 19 with no trouble at all. Traditional food, nicely done. How they managed to bring out all diners at once I’ll never know! Oh and lots of cheesecake choices…
Great pub food and service. Nice pint and friendly staff... would happily visit again.
Fabulous olde worldy pub but well up with modern catering very dog friendly 👍very reasonable prices 👍💓situated right beside Alton Water with Fantastical walks and scenery 👍💞 Love It
Good, typical pub food I had Scampi and chips and my other half had ham egg and chips. Good pint of cider and very friendly staff.
Lovely country pub and tea room. Stopped for a Sunday roast and a pint during our walk round Alton Water. The roast was possibly one of the best I've had in a pub thus far, and beer was in perfect condition. Will definitely be coming back.
Great out of the way, proper pub. New management are great and very friendly. So happy to see it managed well again.
LOVE THIS PLACE! We found it by accident. Its amazing. Small and local. We had a lovely country walk after our delicious pub grub meal here. They have a resident dog and are dog friendly so I was sold! The barmaid was friendly and down to earth. A couple of regulars/locals were in there at the time
Great value and excellent quality fish and chips and fish were amazing. Sitting outside in lovely sun shine watching locals play Pétanque, very friendly people.🍺🍤🍴
Lovely little country pub in a quiet little town. Small park for the kids and plenty of outside seating well spaced. Didn't try the food but looked good.
Great historic old pub. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and second to none. We’ll be back for sunday roast soon
Group of us had lunch here today, fantastic! Food was delicious, great service and quality beer!
