Visited the tea rooms upstairs, small & friendly! Open sandwich was chicken banana and mango chutney! Sounds unusual but they have been doing it for years and it’s delicious! The lemon meringue pie is incredible- super light and fluffy! Definitely recommend a visit!
I made a quick stop in Berridges for a cup of tea and a scone. I wasn't disappointed. Both were delicious. The Staff in Berridges are friendly and pleasant. A group of ladies at another table were having afternoon tea and this look fab. I will definitely be visiting again.

My first visit to this lovely tearoom. I am coeliac and was able to enjoy gluten free bread sandwich. Filling was prawn and avocado which was very nice. Waitress assured me that my food would be made up in another kitchen area so no risk of gluten contamination..was very impressed as a lot of plac

I do have some dietary requirements and the ladies made sure to call me in advance and offered me some options based on my requirements. I always think of this as one of the town centre's secret eateries above the jewellery floor.. Small but beautifully presented and the staff are so helpful, the menu is uncomplicated and very reasonably priced... oh and a great cake selection too.
I got my ring sized and then found out the gem got chipped. They soon knew and called back to sort it out and I got a full refund and a new gem put in for my ring as it had massive sentimental value. All done and sorted now!

The cafe upstairs is popular, nice and quaint. I found it great to have a coffee and scone whilst mulling over buying a piece of jewelery.
I guess most people visiting this place would be talking about the cafe. Yes I’ve been and the food (though in my view very expensive) is good and you get a great cup of tea, there is more here than the cafe.
