My husband took me out for dinner and it was really lovely. The setting and atmosphere was good. Very clean and good staff. We managed to have the set menu, although it wasn’t the right time for it. Just beware, the bottled water on the table is not complimentary. Overall, a really nice experience,
My wife and I took my mother for her 80th birthday. My mother was so impressed. Trust me she is not easily pleased. We all enjoyed our food. Love the fact it is very spacious, you are not squashed in. Price was fair. The restaurant looked lovely. No pressure to get out quickly. Highly recommended.
The Chequers is a former pub with a decent sized car park. The exterior blends unassumingly into the local area.
