Tab was really amazing. Enjoyed her service and company.
Loved the food. Had the king prawn linguine and stick chilli chicken. Tasty and cooked to perfection.
Oh and I like the welcome message. Cute!

We are no stranger to this delightful venue but have not so far written a review. Easy to book a table on line. It's got a good size car park. Has the feeling of an old village pub with 2 open fires for the winter blasts and garden seating those sunny summer days. It's not too big a menu and all items quite reasonably priced. My pal ordered Haddock, chunky chips and mushy peas. I had the Hunters Chicken Escallope, chunky chips, green leaf decoration and a brown sauce. A good plate full of well cooked food and good service. What more can you ask for?

I was treated to lunch by my daughter and her partner and all I can say is WOW!! It's been a long time since I've eaten at The Beagle and goodness me the food quality and service has improved vastly! I hope that I'll be visiting again very soon.
Everything was cooked to perfection from a large menu. I highly recommend đ

Overall, good food in a nice pub.
Visited on a Monday night - I had booked just to make sure I got a table, however there were plenty of spare tables. I had booked to go into the dining area, as opposed to the bar, however was sat in the bar area without being given the option.
Food was good, the starter was plentiful, however the 10oz rib-eye I ordered certainly wasn't 10oz. On the whole the food was presented well, cooked well and would go again.

If you're thinking of dining out this weekend then I'd recommend you to 'The Beagle' just on the edge of Ipswich.
It's a venue that many locals drive past and may well promise themselves a visit one day. Well, we did, last Sunday.
Scott and Ella looked after us and other guests brilliantly. The food, the ambience and the service was just perfect... my only concern is why we didn't go sooner!
We had Sunday roast beef, dessert and coffee. Everything was to a very high standard and we'll defo be back.
Thanks to all at 'The Beagle', see you soon.

A lunchtime treat for us. The main course portion sizes were just right and that meant we could manage a dessert even after clearing our plates! We were served by Tab and her bubbly personality certainly added to our enjoyment. Lovely to see someone so happy in their work.

Our food was amazing and full of flavour and brought out very hot. Our waitress, Tab, was lovely and had the perfect energy to create a warm and friendly atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming again!

We had an excellent meal chosen from the fixed price menu. Food was hot and tasty. The price is value for money. We had Tab serve us who was a delight. Very hardworking and nothing was too much trouble. She is very jolly and obviously enjoys her job. We were so impressed we are rebooking for a family get together in December.

Visited the Beagle on 18/10/2023 where we was looked after by the lovely Tab! Tab was excellent, super friendly and very welcoming! Lovely to have a laugh with Tab. She explained everything to us, ensuring she recognised any allergies. Informed us of anything we should know. Food was superb. Excellent visit today and will definitely be coming back.

Lovely local pub. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Lots of seating outside and plenty inside of the weather isnât up-to much.
Menu is pretty substantial so always find something nice to eat and great selection behind the bar as you would expect.
The only downside is everyone has to drive to get to it - but they canât do anything about that.
I hope it benefits from all the new local housing estates being built nearby.

Took my child on an impromptu Mumma/Bubba date as they wanted to go to a restaurant. I thought I'd try the Beagle as I haven't been since moving back to town. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the service friendly and smooth. The pub is so cosy and inviting, definitely a local gem. We went about 4pm, so it wasn't busy, which was perfect for my child.
I had the Beef Chianti cobbler, which was the divine, and my child had a fish finger sandwich and chunky chips. They were very happy with their choice.
The toilets were clean and clearly signed. I loved the log burners it's such a cosy, calm, intimate touch along with the fairy lights on the ceiling.
Would highly recommend visiting again and again!

The food at The Beagle has improved. The Sunday roast is delicious and generously portioned. You can ask for amendments to your vegetables or anything on the dish, if you need to. They do try their best to accommodate the changes/dietary requirements. There is an onsite free car park. The Beagle pub restaurant is quaintly decorated and has an outdoor seating area too. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful.

Boxing Day dinner. Parking there was fine with no issues, but not many spaces left. We got seated straight away. The restaurant had a good ambiance, was cosy and set out with enough room and privacy. The floor showed a lot of debris though, no doubt from the footfall. It was otherwise clean, including the toilets.
Food.
The food in general was well presented and had taste.
Starters; I know they are starters, but felt that they were more like tasters. There could have been, slightly larger portions. For example, there were only 2 balls of Arancini (I believe the norm is 3?). The bread with the duck and salmon dishes (both tasty), was limited to a slice on each. Another slice (they weren't large slices), or the general offer of more bread to the table might have alleviated this. But as I've said, everything was ok and tasty!
The main meals were ok.... The fish, pan roasted cod loin, was bland, it tasted watery. The scallops, when found, alright. It was basically fish and some potatoes, with shells. In a, sort of, tomato sauce. No other veg. The pork belly, could have been cooked slightly longer to make more tender. The vegetables were limited/lacking. The crackling was very nice. The apple pie was slightly over done on the pasty. However the roast dinners seemed large and offered no complaints.
The desert, wow that was superb. White chocolate cheesecake trio. Was well presented and tasted phenomenal. We would definitely have that again. The Christmas pudding was nice too, but could have had more brandy sauce with it.
It did take 30 minutes to receive coffees at the end, that were not very strong and very milky. But were warm.
The first waitress we had, it felt like we were causing her an effort. She even incorrectly, corrected the pronounation of Arancini when it was ordered, not a good look. Perhaps she was at the end of a long shift. The second waitress was much more personable and friendly.
All in all, it was pleasant. But the high light and what made it, was definitely the cheesecake trio. Yum.

Had the gammon which at first was served with over done eggs. However the chef sent a message to me to say he had prepared two 'runny' replacements which were perfect. Overall the meal (two course, fixed price) was delicious. Quite full for a Tuesday lunch creating pleasant atmosphere with good, friendly service. Happy to recommend.
