Charlie's Bar & Kitchen

All in all, not bad. The staff were very friendly, there was some nice live music playing and the everything was clean. Food was a bit overpriced, mostly quite tasty, although steer clear of the pizza. Drinks were reasonably priced. The main issue was just how generic everything felt. The whole place felt like a cookie cutter version of about 500 other bar/kitchens we’ve all been to in the last 5 years. The same decor, the same 4-6 beers on tap everyone else has, the same menu... nothing felt fresh or exciting about it. Not a bad venue, just nothing out of the ordinary either.

Awesome food, great prices and the service was awesome. The chef even came out to us to make sure my steak was cooked to my liking. After dinner we headed to the bar and received great service and excellent conversation with the bartender. Cool environment, fun games room and all round great little pub/bar. Easiest 5 stars I've given!

We came here right as the chef closed up at 230 on Anzac Day. We'd had a very eventful morning ending with one of the cars catching fire after picking up from a mechanic so when we ordered drinks and food and were then told not 3 minutes later the chef had closed up, we were and bit deflated. The girl serving us refunded all our money, including drinks money, yet still gave us a beer and a wine. We will definitely be back and will recommend based on the compassion and loveliness of the staff. We have had a drink here once before, about 2 years ago and the staff were the same then also, very nice and polite. The consistency is refreshing.

Very new and modern pub. My food was reasonably priced, filled me up and looked good on the plate. Drinks are average bar prices. The outdoor area has ceiling fans, a nice breeze and has almost no direct sunlight coming in under the awning. The bathrooms are clean and have funny room identifier signs, which is a quirky.

Terrible food, chicken was processed like from deli Coles. How hard is it to bash a bit of chicken thigh or breast out. The pasta was oily and Food took forever to be served. Staff where friendly but seemed to be too busy in there own conversations to be worried about how the meal service was going. Great setting, great atmosphere. Kitchen on view and needs to be kept a clean. wont bother going back.

Giving them 1 star is being very generous. We went as a family, celebrating a birthday, there were 10 of us, 2 being young children. and the service of our designated waitress was absolutely disgusting and rude. The food was given out separately, not at the same time. The first two main meals were given at it had been a solid 30 mins for the entrés to be served, and an additional 1hour 30 minute wait for the rest of the meals and an extra 10 for the final kids meal (fish and chips, I might add) to be served. When we politely queried with our poor excuse of a waitress, she gave a good old Classic comment "YEAH! It's coming! I ONLY have two arms", really lady, a simple, "I'm just going back to the kitchen now to grab it for you" would have been sufficed. If you like your steak overcooked and tough, fish and chips and burgers to be cold, chicken parmis to be soaked in oil and LOVE awful experiences - book in at this place right away
