I was surprised to find this place deserted on a Saturday evening. A mixed experience overall but would be happy to go back to try on another day.
Some of the dishes were fantastic, with the loaded tater tots being a highlight. A great mix of flavours and incredibly moreish. The burger was also satisfying and did a great emulation of a fast food experience. The hot dog was a let down, however, with a stale bun and fairly bland kimchi. The menu had many interesting options to chose from.
The service was not good. The sound system was left blaring static for about 10 minutes while the staff disappeared. When they came back to fix it there was no apology or acknowledgement that it had made an unpleasant end to the meal. As the only customer in the restaurant I would expect better than that.
I am happy to support a vegan restaurant and hope my experience is not representative of the general experience so would still be happy to return.
I had a a Ratatouille moment eating the buffalo burger. The chicken and ribs I have had as a vegan have always aired on caution and tried to be breaded healthy and baked. These were crispy charred coated in sauce and bread crumb it reminded me of the chicken shops after a pub as a teen a thing I haven't even realised I was missing. It was gluten free, wasn't too heavy. Loved it Elora was a lovely very attentive extremely funny server
Hank's is a must visit if you come to Ipswich! I've been numerous times I've lost count, but most recently visited to try the Autumn Taster Menu! And my word, it did not disappoint. I had a lovely three course meal and each dish was beautifully presented and tasted unbelievable!
On the evening we went we were looked after by the amazing Elora. She was fantastic, friendly, welcoming and attentive. Could not fault the service or the amazing food! Can't wait to go back.

Absolutely lovely food & the kids love it there too. My only gripe is it is a tad expensive.
Lovely fully vegan pub with lots of options. Went with non vegans and they ate it all so must have been happy with it! Friendly staff. Especially recommend the desserts.
We had an amazing evening here, the food and drinks were so good. The best thing that made our night was the staff here and the hostess was very welcoming.

We came here with the kids and the food was amazing! Extensive vegan menu including kids menu and all of it was delicious and extremely generous portions! We had the Hanks burger, diner kebab and the kids had nuggets and a cheese burger. A very welcoming and friendly place and it was nice to sit in the garden in the sun. Highly recommend coming here!
I've eaten here twice with my partner, and we have loved both visits! The pub itself is quite cosy outside (haven't eaten inside yet), and this is only elevated by the warmth the staff members show towards customers (particularly from the person who has blue hair, and the person who has tattoos, glasses, and long black hair tied back - you guys are awesome and probably some of the nicest staff we've been served by!).
The food on both occasions has come out at a speedy rate, and the food itself is delicious and of a high quality. We could not fault anything we ate. The prices are reasonable as well.
We also love that it's 100% vegan.

Such an amazing evening here for my 20th birthday. The servers were so attentive and food was sensational (not to mention the cocktails which I couldn't stop ordering). They even did a special birthday sundae! Wholesome atmosphere and was such a special experience that I will never forget, what a night. Thanks so much guys, will definitely be back ❤
You won't find many places like this. I honestly I wished they had this place back home where I live. I went to Hank's for my last dinner in England and it didn't let me down. I ordered the katsu which is something I haven't had in a long time. I liked it very much and the tater tots with the cheese dip too.

Can't recommend it highly enough! Fantastic food, a great menu with some really creative options, and a lengthy wine/beer/drinks list!
I love that they make suggestions for the drinks that go well with each item on the menu, and that quite a lot of what they serve is sourced locally.
Great to be able to choose anything on the menu, what a delight! I'm pretty sure even my non vegan friends would enjoy a meal here!
Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for anybody. I can't wait to come back again and try out the other things on the menu, will definitely be a regular!
Celebrated my daughter's 20th birthday here tonight. The food was incredible, impressive range of cocktails and the waiter and waitress were very friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better night. We will definitely be back! Thank you everyone!
Love Hank’s dirty in Ipswich. Always good food, good drinks and good service. The staff are friendly and there is always such a nice atmosphere. We particularly love going to the quiz on a Wednesday.
Had a wonderful meal here a few days ago. The photo shows my Buddha Bowl in the foreground, which was a superb spread of vibrant flavours, and Tofu balls in the background. Really tasty vegan food in this all vegan pub. The beers were also vegan and I had a good pint of Boudicca Spiral, a dark beer. Quite quiet early on a Friday evening and looked pretty quiet on other occasions we walked past.
If you have a vegan friend or relative, make their day by coming here!
The food is delicious, matched by the friendly and attentive service - a really lovely place to spend an evening!

Visited hanks on Saturday night, was served by a lad on his first shift. Great customer service! A credit to your company! Food and beers were excellent would visit again!
Food exceeded my expectations and the space they've created has a great vibe. If you've been to their shop or enjoyed their Hanks Dirty takeaway, the pub must be next on your to-do list! (The mushy pea fritters were particularly delicious!)

Very nice place, very nice staff, very good food. Beautiful cosy place outside. The staff is very friendly and made us the best food suggestions, making sure we were enjoying our experience until the last moment. And the food is delicious!
