A really homely friendly pub,made to feel very welcome. Meals very large but was able to have a starter with sides as the main meal. Prices reasonable with some items available as buy one get one free,time and day restrictions.

An excellent experience. From the friendly phonecall to book, through the cheerful welcome, the polite service, the perfectly cooked food with the BEST chips I’ve had anywhere in a VERY long time, the attentive but not intrusive waitress we had a thoroughly lovely time. The lunchtime BOGOF menu portion sizes were spot on. We all had empty plates without wanting more. I will definitely come again.

Always a lovely place to stop mid way through a walk, big harden as well, and the food is always good, especially the Sunday roast.

A quaint old-fashioned English pub. Friendly staff who were pleased to serve. Good range of beers. It has a reputation for good food, through on this visit we only had a couple beers.

The 2 for 1 meals are a steal. We chose from the specials list and the belly pork with dauphinois potatoes was excellent.
