We’ve just enjoyed a lovely meal at the hotel, scampi was beautiful as was the fish and chips, complements to the chef and the bar staff are so friendly even had treats for our Jack x
Just spent the best 3 days in the island of Gigha, staying at the local hotel, it really is one of the most beautiful places in Scotland, the staff at the hotel were very friendly, food amazing, and the local gin second to none, met a few of the locals, they were able to give so much information on the island that we would never have found out, massive thanks to Alister and his good lady Fiona for making us feel so welcome ‘ can’t wait to return
Excellent stay! Thanks for the great Gigha hospitality, very much enjoyed my stay with you, will be back! Mhairi and Valerie looked after me very well! Thanks to team Gigha Hotel!
Stunning location and perfect food! Freshest seafood I’ve ever had and perfectly cooked. The drinks menu was also excellent. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating. I will be back!
Fabulous food, great staff, good value and wonderful beer. The wine was excellent too!
I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to all island visitors! We had an amazing time...
Magical place, the Boat house is in a beautiful little cove. The water is clear, so clear you can watch the tiny fish and crabs. I had an island gin and tonic Gigha Island gin its delicious. The Queen scallops I had with hand cut chips were delicious absolutely gorgeous. My husband had fresh fish and hand cut chips and the fish was so white, everything tasted fabulous. I finished with a gin crème brulé, topped with fruit and honeycomb...It tasted like heaven. I felt I've really been spoilt . Highly recommended Gigha
A beautiful spot (the little bay right by the entrance is very inviting), friendly and accommodating staff, and first rate food, absolutely cannot fault it! Thoroughly recommended - we'll definitely be back!
Great food in an amazing view! Worth it. Staff are friendly too.
Day trip for my father in law's 70th birthday lunch.
Food was so good. Fresh as fresh can be. Every dish was a winner. We were so well looked after. Staff were great.
The monkfish katsu curry (didn't get a photo) was a favourite in the group. Smoked haddock fish and chips was a new experience. Can't believe more places don't offer that.
Scallops, langoustines and lobster were great.
Can't wait to come back.
Wonderful Lunch at the Boat House. Steak was perfect. Great Staff
Lovely food, and if the sun is out, drinks by the sea. Make sure you book though!
We didn’t booked, but if you go you definitely should. The restaurant alone is worth the trip to the island.
We were lucky and they had a cancellation so could squeeze us in. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and it’s situated in a idyllic location, what more could you ask for.
Really nice place on the island 🏝. There aren't many choises to eat on Gigha and luckily it's a very good one. It's not big but then, the the island is small with just a few tourists. Lobsters are caught locally! Very good prices and friendly staff. Sad it was raining (in scotland?) because the view is amazing .
Great spot and the food top drawer
Absolutely stunning location.
Visited for the first time, had the Boathouse Bunnychow, which was outstanding, a perfect selection of seafood in the dish cooked to perfection. They should sell the banana chutney by the jar, one of the best taste experiences I have had, which really enhanced the great taste of this amazing dish.
Will definitely be back
We ate here a couple of weeks ago and we are still licking our lips. Simple brilliant. Easy and relaxed is the service which when added to the quality of the food and stunning back drop well worth the trip to say the least
Stunning food and location with a small beach.

The freshest sea food! The food is amazing, perfectly cooked and very very tasty. If you get the chance to visit the Isle of Gigha, the Boathouse is a must. Thank you to the wonderful staff.
Beautiful beach dining. ⛱️. Food and service are outstanding!
Great location, great service and wonderful food. A must to do when you visit Gigha. I would say book a table in advance so you are not missing out. Looking forward to going back.
Had a few drinks here yesterday, a fabulous meal this evening, food was excellent, well presented, hot, and absolutely delicious, brilliant staff on both visits. Shame we are moving on tomorrow
