Lovely food, proper fish and chips! Not big on take away food but this was very good. Lovely fresh cut chips and the cod is massive in crispy batter. Worth a stop and all for reasonable price.
Best fish and chips on island. Food always cooked fresh to order so I don’t mind waiting a few minutes. Only chips I’ll eat without the need to smother in sauce. Fish is amazing, not greasy with crispy batter. Staff always friendly and polite.
Had a meal in their restaurant a few weeks ago and today had a takeaway to eat on the beach. Both times the meal was excellent. Food cooked fresh and plenty of it. I think the Gallery is the best fish and chips in Leysdown. A fantastic meal and a really nice and clean restaurant. I recommend this venue whether you eat in or takeaway. Well done, good service.

Waited whilst our fish was cooked to order. So worth the wait, thick chunks of meaty fresh Cod & Haddock. A fabulously crisp light batter which was not in the least bit greasy. The Wally's, well I've never seen Gherrkins so enormous. Lovely and crunchy. The grandkids all polished off their sausage and chips with no washtage whatsoever. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, really friendly too. Can't wait till next year when we'll be down here again. Xxx
Took my granddaughter here for lunch she wanted sausage and chips. Good food, child friendly. Very clean and fair prices. Will definitely be going again, next time grandad will have cod n chips.
Top class food! Really tasty. I have to say the trainees there at the time were doing a superb job there considering the amount of demand that was coming there way. We only visit once a year but each year we never go elsewhere, always Galley Fisheries. Keep it up guys and girls!
A decent size Cod with crispy batter. Whole family enjoyed their mid afternoon feast. Everything cooked fresh. A lovely lady serving food with a big smile and good to talk too. Definately a place to visit. 5***** STARS
This place is located outside the mad rush of Leysdown centre stage. Just few yards ahead from famous Rose and Crown Pub towards Park Avenue. Descent staff with fantastic service. Perfect Cod and chips with spot on Mushy Peas. My wife loved her Skate with Curry Sauce and freshly cooked chips.
If I'm honest,you could drive by this place and not give it a second glance. it's location is right at the far end of the main street that houses all the other commercial parade of shops, including another fish'n'chip eatery.
Having said that, I consider myself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to eating fish'n'chips. I only visited Galley Fisheries because it came highly recommended!
The interior is quite stark,even clinical looking with its plain white tiled walls and formica table tops.
It's not meant to be fine dining,yet, the quality of the fried fish was superbly cooked and tasted amazingly good 😋
So, although it's a bit out on limb location wise, I would go back again!👍👌
There is a bit of a wait for food, which i did not mind at all as it is cooked to order so it is really fresh. Definitely the best chippy on the island by far! The staff are friendly and the shop is immaculate.
