Stopped here for a Sunday Roast. Fantastic location on Shanklin Esplanade, with beer garden view across the bay, no smoking in the beer garden is a definite plus when enjoying food. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was absolutely excellent- possibly the best pub Sunday Roast that I have eaten anywhere. Outstanding, thank you!

A very laid back place to sit and enjoy the views, easy to get a drink and toilets easily available. Food okay, but not great. Staff good, a dog was in our party and fresh water and doggie treats were brought out.
The Aqua is a small hotel set facing the sea at the end of Shanklin Esplanade. The hotel is small and compact across two upper floors, which sit above the bar and restaurant. The hotel also has a patio area in front of the premises with tables and parasols. The check-in was easy and the receptionist was very welcoming and extremely helpful. We had a sea view room with balcony. Views were spectacular.
The room a reasonable size and was clean and bright. The ensuite was compact, but dated, but very clean. The shelf across the sink was problematic when washing your face, and the pull cord light switch projected into the door space you had to dodge it walking in.. Those were minor issues and did not detract from the overall experience. Breakfast choices were grand and should suit most people with cereals and cooked items. They were experiencing staffing issues so the evening restaurant was not operating. This was not a issue as there were other eateries next door. Overall, the stay was enjoyable.
The Aqua Hotel is on the Shanklin seafront with a stunning view of the esplanade and sea. Very friendly staff and atmosphere. The food is very good and the prices are pretty good considering location. Once again I can highly recommend the bar and the accommodation. 10 out of 10.
They really looked after me. Nice quiet room, with an amazing balcony looking right at the sea. With an on site bar and inside / out side dinning and very close to the town, it could not be more perfect for a weekend or longer staycation.
The food and service were excellent, very attentive and took care of a big group of us. They took time to decorate the table and make the event special. Everyone was happy with the food. We were showed to the bar first for a drink which was a nice touch.
I was so pleased the Aqua opened again, I've always had good meals here, so impressed to be able to enjoy their amazing Sunday Roast, good choices & also other options available. I usually have the Lamb & having been back the last three Sundays I'm not disappointed, all three occasions it was superb, my dining friends had alternatives, the veg pie (vegetarian option) was excellent, pastry delicious & potatoes, vegetables & gravy fabulous, always plenty on the plate, not really leaving room for dessert, but I had to indulge in the Bailey's cheesecake on all three occasions, delicious. Staff are always welcoming & friendly.
We staycationed this year. Although the whole of the UK us a rip of for holidays,we had a pleasant experience. The restaurant serves great food, and it's lovely sitting outside with a cold pint of reasonably priced beer. The hotels facilities are modern, and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Great location. I'd recommend the restaurant.
Wonderful location right on the seafront, offers B&B with the option of an evening meal in the restaurant, great outdoor area to the front for dining and drinks, good size bar and seating area inside. Parking on the seafront with a pass.
Generous sized clean rooms some with balcony and sea views. Very friendly staff. Family run. We have been several times in the last decade. Can’t fault it.
Spent the week here. Great views of the sea from the room. Host was helpful and friendly. Everything you need and expect for a sea side hotel in the UK. Special mention for the amazing breakfast and breakfast staff. Highly recommend, we will be back!
