Kings Head Restaurant - Ivinghoe - Photo album

Wonderful 21st birthday celebration dinner in the restaurant's private dining room. Annie helped to organise everything perfectly. The food was outstanding, as it always is here. A truly fabulous evening.
Had a lovely dinner here. Went for the duck as it’s their speciality. Was amazing. Staff, service and food was all great. Only thing was atmosphere. There wasn’t many people in the restaurant so it’s hard but there was nothing to fill silence. Was just very quiet but that’s all.
Lovely experience with friendly staff, the food and drinks were lovely and the meals were large portions. We will be back.
A seriously good lunch experience. Unhurried. Quality. Good value despite the cost. It's not cheap but you are definitely getting what you pay for. Well sourced, great quality ingredients, treated with respect by the kitchen staff. The drinks menu is again quality at, I would argue, a fair price. Th
Very good. Service could be a little friendlier. The duck is amazing.
Been here a few times. Food is good and service usually 5 stars however, on this trip attention to detail is staying to slip a little nervous service side.
Great choice, lovely food, helpful staff. Aylesbury duck is a must, and a special birthday cake produced for the occasion!
I recently celebrated my 50th birthday with 23 of my friends and family at the Kings Head, Ivinghoe and I have to say that everything about the evening without exception was outstanding. It just could not have been better. The food was superb and delicious, several guests commented on the beef being
First visit since lock down and happy to report all aspects of cuisine, ambiance and detailed attention were well up to the usual exceptional standards. Lunch set menu prices unchanged too so represent even better value. Many thanks to Jorge and staff for such an enjoyable visit. Hope to revisit s
The most incredible experience ever. There was no rush at all, very relaxed. I recommend reserving a table and if you wish, the duck as supplies are often limited but it is ridiculously good. Every single plate out of the kitchen was presented immaculately and was cooked to perfection. The price tag
Excellent from beginning to end. They greeted us at the door and offered us drinks - we had drinks in the bar whilst perusing the menu. We were guided to our table and the courses came out in good timing. The haddock and salmon starters were absolutely delicious as was the foie gras. Two of had the
We went with two other couples for my wife's birthday. We all enjoyed perfect delicious high quality good served in an attentive and delightful way. We all had a fantastic afternoon. We have been to the Kings Head several times before and really enjoy it as a location to celebrate key occasions. Y
The King's head offers great French inspired food. Elegant setting, well executed, delicious dishes and professional service. We had oysters and soup followed by the duckling (highly recommended). A perfect tarte tatin concluded a wonderful lunch. One of the better French experiences I've had in
Some of the best food I have ever eaten. Service is highest quality. Lovely to see George still working after all these years. Inspirational to us all. Aylesbury ducks from a local farm were the most amazing duck I've ever eaten.
This is an amazing place. For Sunday lunch, it specialises in roast duck, but they also offer a remarkably inexpensive table d'hote roast beef dinner, which we partook of. Fabulous. Proper roast potatoes for once! They do also offer a high-end a la carte menu, which is expensive. Wonderful ambience
Quirky quintessential Olde Worlde English restaurant. Food is magnificent. We had the specialities of Shared Roast Aylesbury Duck, carved at the table and Tarte Tatin, flambed at the table. Staff were friendly and efficient. Maitre De is brilliant. Expensive but I doubt you will get a better meal.
