Lovely place. Lovely staff felt very welcome. Will visit again
Visited to see Riveria Dogs 3 March. Pre gig communication very helpful. Booking system efficient. Parking right outside. Function room and general layout fabulous. What a great venue. Not forgetting the band who were brilliant, which always helps! Well worth the trip down from Newton Abbot in the wintry conditions.
My friend and I on 28th April 2017 came to see Madonna tribute, she was brilliant, got us up dancing , clapping and singing along , we both thoroughly enjoyed the show, the staff was very helpful and polite too. Thanks for a great evening. We will definitely be back
Brilliant to see such legends as Albert Lee in our little town!
So well organised. Well Done Watermark!
On Saturday 18th November we held a "surprise"40th Birthday party for my youngest son. My sincere thanks to the catering staff that night for their friendliness and helping with the layout. Nothing too much trouble. The Stowford suite an ideal venue .
Please support this local venue, an asset to Ivybridge.
Once again Watermark than you. Colin Smith .
Had the most brilliant night seeing Jethro amazing laughed till we cried thank you xxx
Had a fabulous night entertained by "Madonna"..Looking forward to many more.nights like it😀
We don't live in Ivybridge but have been here a couple of times. It is a fantastic resource and venue with friendly staff and good facilities, good coffee and cake too. We last saw the Railways of Britain films, excellent. We will probably visit regularly. Only comment was that it was a bit cold in the cinema.
Lovely place xx really enjoy all that's on offer xx
Very friendly and helpful staff, you're always made to feel very welcome at The Watermark.
I had my Retirement party at the Watermark in early August. There were around 120 people present and we had a welcome glass of Prosecco, then talked, danced and drank the night away. The Watermark staff, especially, Michala the manager, were so friendly and helpful right from when the venue was first booked. We had the whole of the first floor with a disco and tables in the Stowford Hall and the Beeson Suite where people could sit and talk and watch a slide show. The food was served in the gallery corridor. Michala served the complimentary Prosecco and her daughter manned the bar and both were on hand all evening in case we needed anything, they were awesome. We were allowed to bring our own food and that helped to keep costs down. We were encouraged to decorate the venue with balloons, banners, bunting and we provided flowers for all the tables, so the atmosphere was great. We had a fantastic evening and so did all our guests. I would definitely recommend the Watermark as a venue for your own function.
Very nice venue. Did a talk here and was pleasantly surprised by the space and facilities. Nice cafe and the library on the bottom floor, toilets and conference rooms upstairs. Parking is good too.
We really enjoy coming to see comedians here. Staff are all very welcoming and friendly :-). Great sound and atmosphere but seats are a little uncomfortable after a while 😳🍑. Also, the parking is not so good now that the parking arrangements have been changed :-(
Great show, but the car park outside was difficult. The app failed to download. Try the main car park in the evening. It is free..
take my granddaughter to the singing and read there. Great community spot cafe etc entertainment.
Everything you need under one roof, library, cinema and café. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Good place to meet up with friends for coffee or lunch. Also they hold live entertainment there with a bar upstairs which can also be hired for private functions.
Went here on a Burlesque/Cabaret evening with my partner and found the show to be very good. Everybody within the Watermark were very accommodating. Only bad thing was a bloke beside me kept shouting out to the compere who dealt with him well and the comedian who was very good plus they dealt with him as well. Obviously had too much to drink during the interval. Otherwise it was a good evening overall.
We love this place. Good food in the café, great library and public information. We particularly enjoy the cinema and now prefer coming to see films here rather than the big town based cinemas. Amazing popcorn !!
Good selection of books for different ages. Also has a good cafe on site. Cinemas shows more recent films now as well compared to previously when they were showing films as they were being released to buy.
I went to see a concert and was surprised with this venue. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Seating was good and tiered so no broblem with seeing the stage. The band were brilliant and it was a very enjoyable evening. It is a very intimate venue, I think about 200 or so and there didn't appear to be any empty seats.
A first visit for me we went to see Kiki Dee and had a great evening the theatre is small and intimate and the seating is well set up so that you don't feel too closed in. The bar was well stocked with a variety of different refreshments and not over priced and the amenities were spotless all in all a superb little venue
Went for the bounce and rhyme session, ended up enjoying the cafe, (amazing carrot cake) and used some of the other services available at the library, such friendly and helpful staff!
Went this weekend to see Mark Watson who was great!.
The theatre is really missing a trick, such long queues waiting for refreshments before the performance and at the interval.
We didn't buy a drink due to the long wait. Both the start and continuation after interval, were late due to this ( I think.)
It's a great venue that we love to support. But we only paid for our tickets and spent nothing on refreshments.......
Good food at cafe. Staff were very pleasant. Made the whole experience. Toilets massive and clean.
Good library.
Did not go to any art or cinema show. Did have the traveling ceramic dartmoor otter there.
Needed a place to do some study on my laptop. This wasn't an issue and I was given a space tucked out the way where I could plug my laptop in and not disturb anyone. It was quite noisy which I found both odd and encouraging for a library. It's a very popular place and the friendly staff are a credit. I turned on my headphones and music and got on with it. Can't thank them enough for the space, power and free wi-fi.
A bustling hub of activities for the local people of Ivybridge...NOT just a library. They show films, aswell as the building being used by Citizens Advice, and a café which serves the basics. As I don't actually live in Ivybridge but outside I can't list everything the Watermark offers, suffice to say, for a small town, it's pretty well equipped. 😊 xx
Great community assets like this should be appreciated and used regularly as this is....👍
