Review The Caddy Mann Restaurant - Jedburgh

What a fantastic menu and the real Border taste of Scotland. We had a lovely meal with our toddler and would highly recommend coming to visit the Caddy Mann again in the future.

Enjoyed meeting friends and eating our excellent lunch! 😀 If any criticism at all, the venison pie could be a touch smaller in portion size! Otherwise great starters and lovely sweets.

We accidentally stumbled upon this place and it was the foodie highlight of our week’s honeymoon in Jedburgh! Run by an amazing and very welcoming husband and wife team, this place gave us super fresh, seasonal, beautifully presented food. We went the first time for dinner and went back another day for lunch - it was that good! Total hidden gem, very highly recommended!

First time we have been here and we were not disappointed. Great menu, something for everyone. It was recommended by family and well worth the drive. I am not that fussy about Yorkshire Puddings but honestly these were the best I have ever tasted. We need to go back to try other things on the menu.

Incredible food. My girlfriend insists its the best food she's ever eaten and enquired about booking Christmas dinner and it's only October! Lovely staff as well and a great welcoming atmosphere. Plenty of parking and the seating both inside and outside was comfortably spaced out and all clean.

Awesome. You won't be disappointed. Very friendly welcome. They simply can't do enough for you. The food was top notch. Staff very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about dishes Korean sliced fried chicken donut. Charred peppers red onion tomato spiced sauce Awesome. Fired doughnut looked like a dollop of chocolate ice cream. Crisp outside. Moist chicken inside. Sauce beautifully complemented dish. My wife had the Braised pork cheeks, Stornoway black pudding with pearl barely risotto. Lovely. Cheek feel apart. Succulent. Risotto was creamy with good texture. For the main my wife had the Smoked salmon linguini. Quite rich but very tasty. I had Beer battered haddock with handcut chip and homemade tarter sauce. Delicious! Faultless. Book ahead as it's usually quite busy. A testament to how good it is!

Unfortunately we didn’t have the pleasure of eating here as they’d stopped serving when we dropped by. However the lady that greeted us was very helpful in directing us to another great pub/restaurant while our dog sampled the biscuits! Hopefully catch you next time.

As always at The Caddy Mann or recent visit went well, with some great food at reasonable prices. They accommodated quite a large party of 10 at a busy time and the service was friendly and helpful.

Excellent game selection, and prepared incredibly well. Cannot recommend it enough, worth making a trip for. Also the desert was extremely good as well.

I visited The Caddy Mann on my St Cuthbert's Way walk when I was craving a drink. Unfortunately it was very close to closing time and the place was empty. However, I was still made to feel very welcome and was served a pint and was offered the chance to charge my devices. Hopefully I get the chance to visit for food in future as the menu looks superb.

First visit on the recommendation of friends and family, did not disappoint. Fantastic game and local produce based menu, and anyone who can do this with a grey squirrel has to be commended for their sense of humour and culinary adventure! Will most definitely be back.

Outstanding food - both quality, taste and presentation. Unpretentious restaurant with friendly staff, good service and utterly amazing food using local produce. We had a fantastic meal, for a really reasonable price and won't hesitate to return when we're in the area... just wish we lived closer!

First visit for about 7 years and absolutely as good as we remembered. Superb food and service in understated surroundings. The beef, lamb and venison we had were all excellent and the starters and desserts were great too. We took the crazy spaniel in and he was looked after and actually behaved himself. Sadly it will probably be a while until we are back but I would recommend this gem of a restaurant to anyone who happens to be in the area.
