Review The Old Reading Room Gallery & Tea Room - Kelling

Just excellent. From reception to departure we could not have asked for more from a tearoom. Charming ambiance, friendly and attentive staff, and excellent food. So much so we stopped here for brunch, spent a while and then went about our day. At day’s end we returned and enjoyed lovely tea and cakes. A really enjoyable visit and a venue to which we will certainly return. Thanks for your hospitality.

The Old Reading Room Tea Rooms are a lovely spot. The service is fast and efficient, but the atmosphere remains relaxed and calm. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The coffee was good and the gluten-free carrot cake was very nice too. They also have a very wide selection of second-hand books for sale, as well as some art, a few antiques, and a bit of knick-knackery. A very good spot to unwind.

A nice visit with friendly staff. Try a slice of one of their home made, it's delicious.

Staff is so friendly, and lots of knick knacks to look at around the cafe/shop to buy. Home cooked food. Brilliant

Staff were very friendly. I had a very nice sausage roll and coffee. Sat outside, very peaceful place to eat and they even popped outside and refilled my coffee for me :)

A family favorite of ours. My grandpa used to take us all there for years, as he did with many of the boy scouts. Lovely atmosphere and always a warm welcome, however make sure you get there before lunch time, or you may not get a table!! I got the apple pie and I loved it. I also recommend the various soups of the day!! Make sure to check out the artwork and other trinkets as well!!

Had a cream fruit scone and a pot of tea. Enjoyed sitting out side your tea room. Was a lovely experience everyone warm and welcoming.

Lovely hidden treasure. Great antiques to look at, awesome local artwork. Stopped with our family for a quick lunch, we all had a main and a drink and it was £30. Very reasonable. Staff were very accommodating regarding allergies, we didn't feel 'awkward', like we have elsewhere. We will certainly return. 👍
