Loved it. Lovely personal service from the staff. Great suggestions from staff on accounts of lunch. Chilled atmosphere from management too. Really rustic pub with plenty of outside space both front and back. Looking to come back again soon, just for the schnitzel 😂

Yesterday we went to The Angel in Kelvedon for an evening meal with friends. From the time we entered the restaurant we were warmly recieved. The atmosphere was good and the service exceptional especially our server Dan. The meal was very good, well presented, and most enjoyable. The mash was very buttery and smooth, unlike some other restaurant we have eaten in. Definitely a place to go for a good meal and at a reasonable price.

Great pub/restaurant went there for a family birthday meal. Very good service and good value. The food was excellent I have to say highly recommend.

Enjoyed a well cooked and served gammon fried egg and skin-on chips here on a Wednesday night. Service was very polite and friendly. Restaurant was mostly empty. Decor was good and clean, good choice of beers, lagers and ciders on tap. Quality of food was high and reasonably priced. Will be going again.

Being a Sunday, we struggled to find somewhere to eat as everywhere needed bookings. This place was our 3rd attempt & what a lovely surprise & so glad we went. The food was delicious & our service was exceptional. We had starters & 2x Roast dinners, the best we've had anywhere by far. The young lad serving us was so attentive & friendly, nothing was too much trouble & made us feel welcome. We stayed longer than we intended & will definitely be going back.

We passed this pub by accident the other day, so on Saturday we came deliberately. We arrived a bit late for lunch but the staff were accommodating & we had a lovely meal of fish & chips & beef pie. Both meals were very tasty. The wine was very nice and the pub had a good atmosphere. I'm looking forward to coming back in the summer & sitting outside.

I visited The Angel recently for the first time with some work colleagues and all of our meals were superb. Nice and freshly made and the best chips I’ve had in a long time. The cookie dough dessert is pretty sizeable so save some room if you’re going for that!

Stumble across this beautiful pub for a drink and decided to go back today for another and a quick bite. Well we weren’t disappointed the food was amazing and the attention to detail in presentation was outstanding, every mouthful was a taste explosion. Also have to mention the staff who were kind and very warm in welcoming us on our arrival. We will be back for sure, next time for dinner to sample more of the delicious food

Went here on a Friday night everything was excellent the only reason service was given 4 was because it was so busy and only 2 members of staff serving. Saying that, they were still very attentive. Food was great. The atmosphere was like a village local. Smiles, laughter, and good cheer.
