Loved everything about this place! A cute and cozy cafe that's tucked away from the street. The Rustichella sourdough pizza was amazing. The staff was very sweet as well.

Absolutely loved our pizzas! Best pizza I’ve eaten in a long time. The sourdough is amazing. We had a large group and a child and the service was amazing. You can tell that there is a lot of love in what they do. The photo is of the aftermath, not super pretty but there are no crumbs left whatsoever.

walked out of 4 kendal cafes before finding Marra. Knew instantly Id found a keeper. From the woody smell of a real fire (much needed in these wintery - spring rained days) unique style, good sized coffee cups and happy looking sweets (ever noticed those sad affairs that look limp and imprisoned sweating in a glass cage in some gaffs?) … I chose the divine beetroot brownie. Along with large oat latte the day was saved. Service with natural smiles and friendliness. And guess what, table was cleaned on our seating, which gets rairer and rairer these days (post covid i often clean cafe tables myself, perhaps staffing is an issue more??) nt only that, the waitress sprayed the detergent INTO THE CLOTH rather than into the surrounding air space. I have only wished that this would be the case in restaurants. Chemicals aren’t good fr you folks, and we don’t want them in our food and lungs.
Really glad I kept searching until I struck Marra gold ❤️❤️

What a lovely place to have lunch! The sourdough pizzas were delicious and other food selections were very fresh and tasty. Great atmosphere and friendly welcoming staff. I wish we live near Kendal otherwise we'd be back regularly.

The stuff was amazingly helpful when we arrived with a pram and a 3 months old baby. The food is exceptional as well.

If you don’t eat here during your visit to Kendal, you’ll have missed a stunning experience. We enjoyed lunch for two, in a friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere, really great food, and perfect service - great coffee too. This is a definite ‘must do’.

I don’t know how I hadn’t tried this beautiful place before! We had the most delicious artisanal pizzas with perfectly balanced salad! Coffees are lovely and a helpful and friendly service!! Will become a regular for sure.

Amazing cafe. Cannot find fault. Has the perfect balance of great food, drinks and atmosphere!
Had the Smoked Makrel ciabatta which was a bit too sensible a portion size for how good it was! I could have eaten another easily!

Visited the town on a work trip and had limited eating options as we tried to pick places within walking distance. We ended up eating here 3 times and raved about it to the rest of the office when we returned. This place has a quaint charm and and an even cuter upstairs. Adorned with plants and inspirational wall art, I felt like I could stay for hours sipping tea and reading a book. I was particularly interested in the tall curved tree in the stairwell, which the staff lovingly call the "umbrella plant" though they went to look it up and wrote down the actual name (schefflera) on a business card.
I was most impressed with their baked good that rotate every so often. The first day, I tried the vanilla/lavender/earl grey cake and then tried the cherry milkshake cake on a different day. I highly preferred the first one though both looked similar topped with the pink frosting, pastel pearls, and white chocolate bark. The soups here are fantastic and taste even better with the buttered bread - perfect for chilly weather.
