So pleased this cafe is still prospering despite the ongoing flood relief works on the River Kent outside. Plenty of options on the menu plus a specials board which included a Chickenless Nugget Wrap with a choice of 3 of the house salads. Won’t leave it so long before returning next time 🙏🏽
Vegetarian venue with a nice view of the river. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I tried the soup yesterday and found it very tasty, the artistic swirl was fun.
The vegan breakfast here is delicious! And the homemade houmous is so good! Good portion size. The location by the river is also lovely and they have a dog friendly area.
Absolutely amazing experience. Great people, delicious food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The staff catered to some very specific dietary requirements- had one of the best breakfasts. Will surely be visiting again.
What a great little cafe for vegans! The portions were very generous and tasty and there was a great selection of cakes too. The location is also lovely next to the river. Will definitely call in again.
What a beautiful cafe, next to the River Kent, indoor and outside seating. I have never had such a choice of vegan and dairy free home baked cakes, huge beautiful cakes, good to share, some Gf options too. Great menu again vegan and non vegan choices, such an immense choice of beautiful freshly made
Delicious homemade food - savoury & sweet - plus lovely drinks. Service is always friendly and efficient. The Waterside is a huge asset for Kendal.
My wife and I had lunch here. The food was on point, we both had the vegan kebab. Impressive portion size. A must visit.
This has been one of the best healthy restaurants I have been to in UK. Very filling and large proportions of food. This definitely a great salad spot. Treat yourself for some nice I've cream or coffee to with a nice outdoors view!!!
Outstanding cafe with a great range of options and superb salads (choose 3 from 10 options) with most of the main meals.
If it’s not to busy grab a seat at the front and if you’re lucky you might see an otter 🦦 in the River Kent like us!

Delicious Food with Fab, Friendly Service. Buddha bowl had a great balance of textures and flavours and was a good size.
Nice place inside. Very vegan/vegetarian if you know what i mean. They make a good coffee. I wish they done sandwiches and paninis. We went here for the views.

We chatted to a local who was raving about the place. Shame he couldn't write this review instead he was that effusive! Catered really well for allergens. Great to sit outside in the sunshine. Loved the pancakes! We'll be visiting again before we leave.
Lovely vegan and vegetarian cafe, friendly staff, The day we went it seemed a bit chaotic but it was a really lovely meal and reasonably priced! Worth the wait !!
A fabulously delicious vegan afternoon tea (a fab mix of savoury - yummy beetroot wrap - and sweet) that I've had a few times during lockdown to celebrate various virtual occasions (the salted caramel cake is truly amazing)!!!! Delivery or collection is offered which makes things really flexible! :-
My friends bought me a takeaway slice of gf cake from here yesterday. It was honestly the nicest gluten free cake I've ever had.
