We went looking for Mintcake which considering Kendal is its home is not easy. However we found this place toward the bottom of a hill. Top quality chocolates here and lots of other tasty treats as well as the best choice of mint cake in our opinion.

Would definitely recommend, very qutesy, olde worldy, very old fashion English tea room, I love it. There is nothing modern about this place and that’s apart of the joy. This is a gorgeous little chocolate shop and cafe just off the main shopping street in Kendal. The shop is right next door to the cafe but is connected and can be accessed by a set of stairs, although the are very narrow and low.

Such a quaint and charming place. And so easy to miss. A must visit if you are in the area. The hot chocolate fudge cake is amazing. I would recommend you skip breakfast or lunch though!
