Fantastic news for sushi fans in Kendal area! Came today for lunch - we were starving and we shared three medium platters between two people. Lovely selection, with some interesting twists, and that torched salmon was to die for.
The couple that run it are lovely. It’s definitely something different from anything else in town, Kendal needs more places like this. Can’t recommend it enough, will be back soon.
Fabulous vegan options. Love the food from Neko Sushi. We opted for a takeout on Wednesday and took our sushi to a lovely bench by the river. The owners are super people, they even gave us ice for our water bottle :) At the moment they are making lemonade, can't recommend this enough, absolutely delicious! :) :)
We enjoyed a delicious sushi feast from Neko Sushi Kendal! The owners are very friendly and helpful and quite honestly it's the best sushi I have eaten, with great vegan and vegetarian choices.
Authentic, delicious Japanese sushi. Simple, interesting menu - the nicest seaweed salad I’ve ever tasted (including visits to Japan)

Great Sushi and Service! Saves me and the Girlfriend having to travel to Newcastle to get sushi. Also, it all tastes great and have new stuff to offer from time to time! On the plus side, they offer cooked sushi and other non-sushi food for those aren't keen on raw fish. Worth a try and we're now regulars of Neko Sushi! :D
If you think you've tried good sushi think again! I've just enjoyed super fresh delicious torched salmon and torched aubergine sushi. I will never ever again buy the supermarket stuff! The owners Ernesto and Maria a are simply the most helpful people you could meet and super talented at making sushi too!

Honestly, some of the tastiest, and freshest sushi I’ve tried for a while! The staff are polite and attentive, and the folks who own it are delightful! �

Great little place! Freshly made sushi, really friendly people, and great value. It's at the bottom of Stramongate - blink and you'll miss it - definitely one of Kendal's best kept secrets. If you love great sushi I can't recommend this place highly enough 👍

Nice food, taste very much the same like orient Japanese food.
Came here for a belated valentine's treat and was not disappointed. We were both very impressed. We sat down for the experience. All sushi that we got was freshly made and would highly recommend. Alot of different fish and vegetables available. Also had the soup which was beautiful (even took some home). The chef could not of been more friendly. Would recommend to anyone who wants to try nice sushi with a friendly atmosphere.

Fresh sushi and great Japanese tea. Decent price for the quality, and a good range despite the size of the establishment. Incredibly friendly staff with actual human personalities.

We really enjoyed our meal at Neko Sushi. The chef/owner really takes his time to prepare a proper, carefully made meal and clearly understands his craft very well; I can honestly say that I felt our meal was nicer than almost all of the sushi I had when I lived in Japan. Particularly enjoyed the more experimental pieces like the sriracha on the tamago sushi and the cream cheese and cucumber.
Great value, high quality sushi! Ordered the sharing platter and there was much more than enough for 3. Definitely a good spot for sushi in the area.
We went to Neko Sushi over the Christmas holidays and the food was excellent. The owner was welcoming and friendly. We ordered the octupus nigiri, salmon and avocado uramaki, California roll and sweet spicy tuna futomaki and enjoyed it all.
