Cosy little cafe, just a short walk from the town centre.
Lovely attentive staff with nice food that was reasonably priced.
Thankful for the recommendation from a friend, during our weekend away in Kendal.
Very nice afternoon tea and good price!
Good food, reasonably priced and friendly staff. We had the afternoon tea which was a lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes.
Reasonable prices . The building is just so historic looking .
Nice old world tea shop with generous tasty cake portions, friendly service and reasonable prices. What's not to like?
1649 when built,worth a look and a nice soup.!
Discovered this place while on a day trip. It's a traditional café and tea room in a delightful 17th century town house, conveniently located on the high street. Cosy downstairs rooms with wooden beams and an original fireplace, and outside tables in a little courtyard at the back. The staff were both welcoming and friendly. They serve sandwiches, soup and light snacks as well as cakes and teas. Ordered a cheese and onion quiche with jacket potato and salad and a pot of tea. Service was quick, the food well cooked and the salad quite special with grapes and orange slices as well as the usual salad ingredients! I also bought a couple of the nice little handmade greetings cards that were on display. All in all an enjoyable lunch and reasonably priced too.
Very nice afternoon tea staff were very very nice people 😀
My scones were lovely and soft, made even better with butter, a big scoop of cream and a sliver of jam, all accompanied by a nice pot of tea!
There is a young lad waiting on, he is dead attentive and is really smart in his white shirt.
Lovely little find that's hidden away. We had an afternoon tea there which we would definitely recommend. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
