The British Raj - Kendal - Photo album

I put in a large order (for 28 people) and Imran helped me build a really good selection of starters, mains and side dishes. And all for a good price per head. Everything was freshly prepared and ready bang on time. The meal was really well received by all concerned. Very impressed! Will use again.
I was staying around the area as I visited the Lake District and came across this Indian takeaway on Google so decided to visit. They have a wide range of menu options for you to choose from. While you wait you can see your food being prepared in front of you since the kitchen is behind the counter,
I've never been disappointed with the food from British Raj. Delicious and generous portions. Great selection of dishes. My order was taken by a really polite gentleman and ready for collection exactly as advised.
Nice food that you can watch cooked from start to finish staff a little robotic with next to nothing interaction and seem to just talk amongst thereselves and not to customers

Been a family favourite for 21 years. We come most Sundays and the food is always divine. Enormous, succulent King Prawns, scrumptiously soft naan breads, delectable sauces and wonderful service. I never found a place in Edinburgh or London that could compare.
This is one of the best Indian takeaways I have had. I tend to prefer to go to a restaurant for Indian cuisine, but British Raj provides excellent food, at very good prices, so it's the first choice in Kendal. The front of house counter and kitchen shows a well maintained and clean environment. The

Best Indian takeaway in Kendal by a long way. I've lived in Kendal since 1990 and during that time I've eaten food from most restaurants and takeaways and this is my favourite by a long way. The food is always tasty with generous spicing. Their naans are the best this side of Bradford and the daal i
Very reasonable prices. Portion size good. Bread brilliant. Lamb quality fair. Will eat here again.
