Went to this hotel for a hiking weekend and it was a great location for us. Surrounded by the beach side 30 min away and some national trust treasures. We loved the greenery and the staff was lovely (and the hotel was pet friendly )so we don't have anything bad to say! Comforting pub food Lovely desserts Friendly staff Thanks Debby and the amazing team all so lovely with our 4 legged friend Great place to decompress

This place was so lovely, I would 100% recommend. All the staff were amazing and friendly. I had the lasagna which I can say was the best lasagna I’ve ever had. If you’re on your way through I would definitely stop in for some food. This place is dog friendly.

We stopped for lunch on our way home. This was a gem of a find. The staff are helpful and friendly and they got us sat down quickly. We were a party of five and all had different meals. The food was great and very British pub but wonderful. Portions were extremely generous. The whole atmosphere was greta thoroughly recommend you pop in for dinner or lunch.

Food was good, room was very basic probably because we had a dog. Staff were excellent and the accommodation was reasonably priced. Breakfast was superb.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Bowness. Food and service were excellent. Debbie looked after us. She was super friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome. We would thoroughly recommend this place for lunch.

Lovely place to stay, easy to get to. Rooms basic but comfortable, had tea/coffee making facilities in the room. TV. Ensuite shower room. Staff very friendly.

The food was lovely very tasty. I had the salmon it was beautiful my husband hadscampi and was good sized scampi pieces. We will definitely be back.

So sad to see cruel, negative reviews. It would be kinder to just have a quiet word…. That’s today’s world I suppose. We have just had an extremely tasty Sunday lunch, only one course as it was all we could manage. Service was faultless. Thank you very much.

Great food tated very good, I had a burger. Nice traditional pub, good value for money, convenient location on the road. I would highly recommend if you are in the area.
