Delightful country house hotel. We had a wonderful stay. Very comfortable, clean room with a modern bathroom. We really enjoyed the spotless pool area ..better than a lot of spa hotels I have been to. The breakfast was outstanding..freshly cooked options alongside lovely croissants, fruit salad etc. We had dinner in the hotel the first night and were so impressed with the quality.. whereas so many hotel dining options are a disappointment, this was good restaurant.quality. Huge shout out to the professional and delightful Helen who seemed to be keeping everything ticking over . Thank you and see you again

We had a lovely stay here. Lovely location and really friendly staff. Room was beautiful with lovely comfy bed and clean modern bathroom. The pool was nice but it would have been good to know when kids swimming lessons were on as not able to use pool during these times. As I am pregnant I was unable to use sauna, steam room or jacuzzi so really only wanted to use pool so that was a bit of a shame. The dinner menu could also do with more veggie options.

Really happy with this one night away. Arrived and went straight in for lunch, excellent service. The waitress had misheard my husband's order but they changed it as soon as we mentored it with no issues. Staff were so friendly. Went to the pool but disappointed there were swimming lessons going on so couldn't use the pool. Would be helpful if there was some kind of notice of when the pool is free to use. Loved the sauna, jacuzzi and steam room, all worked perfectly. The evening meal was so tasty. My gluten free options were catered for with ease. Would definitely stay again. Staff are excellent

Just returned from 1 night stay for two and it was lovely. Staff are so friendly. Pool, jacuzzi, steam room & sauna are great. Food was amazing & the portions were huge. Room was lovely and bed was so comfy. Didn’t want to leave!! Would definitely recommend and will be back to visit again soon.

Lovely Hotel Almost perfect stay, just need to put up a timetable of when the kids swimming lessons are taking place so guests can avoid the pool at this time as it was very loud and splashy and realistically you struggle to swim at that time, also the parents were sitting blocking the lockers. Otherwise perfect, great rooms, great staff, beautiful leisure area with pool, jacuzzi sauna and steam. Great location, plenty of parking. Would return.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Stonecross Manor Hotel! The facilities were great, particularly the bar and lounge areas. The pool and spa were great, but could have done with a once-over clean, as some rubbish was lying around and some areas dirty. The staff were brilliant and always happy to help and chat. The rooms were great, super comfy beds and spacious, but the decor was outdated and a little run down. Didn't have anything to eat at the hotel so can't comment, but the bar was great and had plenty of choice. Great location with a super convenient and easy walk into Kendal!

Food excellent, staff lovely and cannot so enough to help, pool great. Down side is rooms are tired and not in good condition. We had to move rooms due to mould all around the window and overwhelming smell of mould, in second room there was some blacked areas on bath seals. Paint in need of re fresh in rooms.

We stayed here for a three night stay. Staff very helpful and the woman who does front of desk in the morning also does the serving of breakfast and clearing the tables she works really well. We stayed in room 211 lovely decorated and tea and coffee always replenished. The room was very hot on the first night and I couldn't open the window however the following morning I had a better look at the window and didn't know it had 2 catches so I could open it. That helped me as I'm asthmatic but looking at the window it was very black obviously with condensation which could really be looked into as the room itself is great. That's just a suggestion not a complaint. But I thoroughly enjoyed our stay as its the first time we've been to Kendal.

If we could give Helen and her team 10 stars out of 5 we would! Our stay at this hotel was such a lovely experience and it is fantastic value for money in our opinion. All staff were exceptional, nothing being too much trouble for them. The breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice - we also stayed for an evening meal at the restaurant which was delicious. The standard double room we had was spotlessly clean, well decorated, and very functional. The swimming pool and spa were amazing - a real oasis of tranquility. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you! Lee & Vicky

Lovely hotel. The room was clean, very comfy and nicely decorated. Extra bonus was the pool, sauna and jacuzzi, which though small, was most welcome on a hot day. We walked into town for food as there is a lack of plant based options on the menus, which was the only real negative point. Staff very friendly and happy to help. Will definitely stay again.
