I like literally everything in this hotel: it is small, but cosy, in a great location, with friendly and helpful staff, the atmosphere is truly local, what else one could wish?! If I have a chance to be around next time that will be undoubtedly my hotel of choice! 🤩

We went to visit our son at Worwick uni and decided to visit Kenilworth. We saw the pub which looked welcoming and sat outside. The food was really nice, fresh and my son enjoyed his trio of roast.
Came for lunch on a bank holiday, surprisingly not too busy. I ordered the steak ciabatta medium rare - steak was edging towards medium, ciabatta was nicely toasted but wasn’t very hot. Swapped out the fries for chips, had the mustard mayo on the side (as I’m not a huge fan of English mustard so I found adding a small amount was sufficient for me). However the dripping that comes with it is delicious! I wish it had come in a bowl so that I could dunk the sandwich into it.
For dessert I ordered the salted caramel sundae - who would’ve thought that putting cheesecake into a sundae was a thing?! But what a tasty idea, alongside brownies and plenty of salted caramel.
All in all the food was good, but not perfect (but tasty enough for me to still eat it all). Would happily come again though, but will try something else on the menu.

Lovely place in a lovely quaint place. The restaurant/pub is a good size inside and pleasant to sit in. The service is good and friendly.
Choice of drinks and food is plenty without being over whelming or the opposite. Only down side, and it could have been just this visit but I ordered a steak as pictured and it wasn't too good.
If your staying here the night which I was there is parking for guests and this isn't charged. The hotel rooms are nice and clean as expected.
The weather was hot on arrival but the room was prepared with a fan already keeping the room as cool as possible.
Stayed here for one night. Room was very clean, and the ensuite is enormous! Had THE BEST nights sleep, the bed was really comfy. Shower was hot and powerful.
Lady on reception was friendly and helpful.
I'll definitely be recommending to my friends and will stay again if I'm in the area in future.

We have just had an amazing dining experience at "The Abbey Field."
We didn't go for a starter as we already had eyed up the menu on your website, and I already knew I'd be having the bakewell tart with custard.
We started off with our mains, a smothered chicken ( similar to Hunters chicken) and a rum and coke glazed gammon with all the trimmings.
You only need to look at my photos to see how well they were presented. We were not disappointed.
Both of our meals were perfectly cooked, the chips were the best we have tasted in a long time, the whole meal was thoroughly enjoyable.
This was washed down with a nice glass of Aspalls cider with black currant and a draught pint of carling.
Desert...wowwwww, as predicted, I chose the bakewell and custard, and it tasted amazing.
My partner chose a banana waffle with butter scotch ice cream.
Again, my pictures show how well these were presented. We really could have eaten them again..
I definitely recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for quality food, served to perfection, you will not be disappointed.
There is limited street parking outside. However, don't let this put you off as there is a huge council operated carpark at Abbey Fields Park, which is a 3-minute walk away.
Please note that the restaurant operates a cashless system and is a card only.
However, I did leave a cash tip as it was worth every penny.

I’ll be straight up… I stay at Abbeyfields a couple of times a year. Chosen for it’s geographic convenience for friends driving from ‘all over the U.K.’ Handy for NEC events. Wonderful staff, particularly the very helpful and obliging reception staff. We didn’t eat evening dinner in the restaurant this time but the full English breakfasts 🍳 were excellent. This time around would have just loved air conditioning in the simple and straightforward clean bedroom but in all honesty at this B&B rate… get real. Good air conditioned bar area. Decent parking, maybe EV charging facilities an aspiration for the future Truly lovely setting. Stunning Kenilworth High Street and Castle 🏰👍
Lovely quaint hotel. All staff were helpful & attentive. Breakfast was so delicious. We also had a couple of meals which were good portions & very tasty. Our room was very clean & comfy.
Lovely meal our waitress Jodie was amazing full of smiles and positivity. Food was very good and pudding was amazing too.
Liked - I cant praise the staff enough. They all were amazing and everyone had a smile on their face which makes a world of difference to your day!
The location is also great with a general store just outside for anything you need.
The breakfast was great too!
Disliked · The floor in the lobby as well as in the room and especially the bathroom was creaking very badly. It made us very conscious that we might be disturbing the guests on the below floor as our room was just above the restaurant.
Thoroughly enjoy an evening here. The food is great and the service is just as good. Would recommend to anyone who fancies something along the old high street!
Sunday dinner was tasty but small dishes, reminded me of rations in my history lessons at school during the world wars. Would probably order 2 plates next time as 1 isn’t even the bare minimum. The brownie sundae was the biggest part and that’s only a dessert

Ps We parked our cars in the large Abby field car park which is just down the Rd from the restaurant which was free fore the first two hours..just put reg in to park..
