We not from the area this chippy is in but stopped of as had been visting some of the local area, staff are very nice, polite and attentive, food was great, cooked fresh, was nice and hot and very reasonably price, if we're over that way again will deffo return to this place. Oh and the curry sauce was amazing too. If your there after 7pm you can park in the bus stop outside and eat at the benches outside if nice.
Found this little gem whilst stopping locally before hitting Le Shuttle the next morning.
2 chicken and pork gyros ordered and consumed on double quick time certainly hit the spot for me and my wife after a 6 hour journey down (and two hours walking around the country park with the dog)

Brilliant service, large portion sizes, kids meals were brilliant, and very knowledgeable about coeliac disease.

I read good and bad comments so here is my very honest review. This was our first order here. We ordered on Monday about 3pm so it was off peak time. There was no one waiting for anything and seems to be there was no other order. Ordered 2 Large Cod with 2 large fries, small burger and kids fish and chips. Friendlyness of the staff:I was greeted in a friendly manner on the way in and out. Speed of service: They said about 12 minutes, took them 15+ minutes. Could be a bit faster, but not a big deal. Temperature of the food: We started to eat about 15 minutes later and the food was still piping hot. Taste of food: As others commented already, the fish was a bit too oily and the batter was rather on the soggy side then crispy. Wasn't bad at all, just could be a bit more crispy. Maybe the oil isn't hot enough or it's been soaking too long. The chips had a bit of a funny taste(Asked without any salt or sauce) and we only could find one black spot not as many as others complaining about. The kids fish came without the skin. The burger must be good as my 5 year old is a very funny eater and he almost finished all. The portion size: It's huge. We ordered large as usually the medium aren't enough for me so my wife has only half of her portion. I think the kids portion would be enough for us this time. It's seriously large. I'm 15+ stones so not the slimmest guy, but I eat from my own portion 3 times and there was still chips left. Overall: Yes its a bit slow and the food quality isn't 5 star, although it a slightly bit overpriced I would give a strong 4 star. Yes you can get better, but if you live locally there is no point to go elsewhere as it's still good food. And the shop looked clean what is very important especially now.
