We ate at Golden Hills on Sunday evening and had duck with green pepper and black bean sauce, king prawns with green pepper and black bean sauce, egg fried rice and noodles with bean sprouts) The service was excellent, food hot and delicious, there is nothing I can fault. The restaurant was full when we arrived, but that is not surprising because it is very popular with tourists and people who live in Keswick. We were given a seat until there was a free table and were able to have a drink and look at the menu while we waited. Not sure what on earth the previous comment is about a dog in the restaurant because there certainly wasn’t one there. A very clean and friendly place that serves excellent food

My favourite restaurant from my holiday to Keswick. The food was excellent and would definitely visit again.
I recommend that you get there as the doors open as the place was full almost instantly. Great service, would recommend to friends visiting the area.

The food is great and the prices are incredibly reasonable.
Loads of vegan and vegetarian options.

Managed to get a table on the weekend we stayed in Keswick and were pleased we did. It is a busy place, both the restaurant and the takeaway section. That says everything!
Great menu selection to choose from, and the food matched our expectations.
Superb.

Small but very good food. It is also a takeaway. We had salt and pepper chicken and beef curry really good.

Best vegan chinese food we've ever had. Staff were incredibly helpful when ordering as it can be a bit tricky making sure food is vegan. Couldn't have asked for more, and we would 100% go back next time we are camping in the Lakes. Just wish it was so much closer to us.

Best Chinese food I've ever had. I could not recommend more. Please try it, you shall not be dissappointed.

We've been here a few times for meals, and we've always enjoyed everything we've eaten!

Great food and service, atmosphere was a bit quiet as I went soon after it opened. Also spotted that you cannot book if you are less than 5 people.

This is simply a decent a Chinese restaurant in Keswick. The food is good enough, although not exceptional, and the service was quick and polite but not entirely welcoming. Like most Chinese restaurants, the portions were satisfyingly large. The location is probably the best part of the restaurant, being just next to the main shopping street and bus station. For the price, I have no complaints! It is a good choice if you are on a budget or just don't want to waste time. If you want an authentic local experience or fine cuisine, however, you should try another place.

You would think that a Chinese restaurant in the middle of the British countryside would offer solace for its Eastern tourists, but when a puffy troll wearing a white man's greasy skin distributes the seating, flashbacks of the colonial era gush in like the icy winds of the Lake District. I didn't even have to try the food to know that it was likely purchased in the frozen section in the supermarket a few blocks down.

Awful staff attitude. They didn't know I could understand Chinese and used some very offensive Cantonese to talk about me at my back after reflecting that one of their dishes was way too spicy. Worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life and they have ruined my anniversary with my fiancé.
The food was not Chinese at all and tasted way too westernised. Awful food, awful people. Wouldn't recommend going there.
