We dropped in for dinner. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and tasteful decor. Our meal was excellent. Goats cheese and salad starter then sausages and mash and a burger. We had a couple of drinks in the Cellar Bar which was very comfortable and pleasant. Beers were very good. Dinner upstairs was very good. The seabass special was excellent and the fillet steak pretty good. Service was generally very good even if they looked a little stretched at times.
We arrived 3pm today and saw menu was served from noon to 5pm.
Asked to take seat but had to wait 23minutes before staff member came. We were ready order food but were told kitchen 'had just closed' for an hour . Staff member not bothered that service was said on menu to be 12 to 5pm. So we left. Ne
I've eaten here several times in the last 12mths and the food is consistantly very good indeed. Staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend it above many of the other eating houses in Keswick. Its become my go place.
A nice clean room. Only thing missing was a full length mirror as there was space on the wall behind the door. Great location too as right in the centre of Keswick.
3 course meal... minestrone soup to start full of veg. samon for main and sticky toffee pudding to follow. cannot fault the service, food or atmosphere will definately go again the next time we are in Keswick

Good food and very nice beer garden. All our plates were very tasty, a very pleasant surprise to have found this place on our way back from the lakes.
We stopped off for lunch here and the food was lovely with excellent service. The location is great and they are very dog friendly.
