The Sea Jax Tavern

WOW! Hidden gem here! Wife and I had dinner here last night and man were we surprised by this place. The wait staff (Dan was our guy) seemed to genuinely like working here and the overall atmosphere was that of a fun, laid back, take your time, we're glad you're here vibe. Dan was very helpful with selecting menu items (this was our first time but definitely not our last) and suggesting drinks, informing us of little nuances. The food was beyond delicious. Had the boom boom shrimp appetizer, the grouper Reuben, and the wife had the grilled chicken Caesar wrap. Zero complaints. Can't wait to try other items on the menu! Thanks for a great dinner and atmosphere.

Wow! I can’t say enough good things about this place! First time I’ve been here and was greeted warmly by the staff. They were so quick for food delivery I was so impressed. I ordered a soft pretzel to start, the dipping sauce was wonderful. For my entrée I ordered the creole shrimp. It was so flavorful and everything was hot and fresh! My friends got burgers and they were huge! Definitely did not skimp on the toppings. I will definitely be back! I also ordered fish and chips to go and also was great.

Drinks and food at Sea Jax was amazing - so delicious! I had the coconut shrimp dinner that came with fries and slaw. Everything was perfection. We were a party of 5 and everyone had a great meal! Our server, Debbie, was an absolute delight! She was so much fun! An overall great evening! Highly recommended Sea Jax!

Sea Jax is one of the best hideways in Kettering hands down. The most difficulty i have is deciding what to order. Soups, sides and sauces are made in house, even the tartar and cocktail. Clam chowder and calamari are a must. I'm not a fan of the usual rubbery rings and tentacles, their calamari steak strips are hand breaded, tender every time. Other favs are coconut shrimp, fish n chips, shrimp creole, blackened salmon salad or with coconut rice n veggies. You can't go wrong with any of the tacos with black bean n rice. Generous drinks, excellent rotating tap choices, informative, fun and attentive bar/waitstaff. Uh-oh I better shush-i'll never get in 🤫

My family and I love this restaurant! Though the nautical theme implies they are mostly seafood, Sea Jax Tavern boasts plenty of burger/salad/wrap/sandwich options. I personally really like their Fish and Chips and my 18 month old daughter loves their Parmesan Lemon Chicken. My favorite appetizers are Cheese Logs (which are huge!) and Spinach Dip. They also have wines and a wide variety of craft beers available. Be prepared to spend about $15 - $20 per person for the meals with alcoholic drinks and appetizers increasing the bill even more. It is pricey, but the food is wonderful and we highly suggest going to Sea Jax Tavern for a special night out.
