I am rarely in Kilbirnie at lunch time and when I am I seldom have a sit down meal, preferring to get something and eat at the water front or a park. There is a good range of hot cabinet food as well as bakery items. I chose from the meal board which has about 20 or so items from breakfast to lunch an some substantial meals. I chose mushrooms on toast which was excellent and well priced.

Very moist chocolate cake, however friend number 1 says the red velvet cake was not very pleasant. Friend number 2 complained about cleanliness of the glasses and the tiramisu cake needs more cream but she says she still enjoyed it. Overall a good place with good prices 👍👍

I had lunch at Cupcake today for the first time in months.
Their creamy chicken and mushroom pies at $5.90 were really big, hot, and nice and yummy !! 😋 😋
I love their yummy pies🥧 , fresh cream cakes 🎂, pumpkin soup 🎃, and toasted bacon chicken and eggs sandwiches 🥪!!
(However the place has definitely gone down hill in recent months with very bad service, untidy restaurant, un smiling counter staff, etc.😐🙁😕
It will be best to stay away until they get the act right!! 😲)
Today they have seem to finally improved their act!!
Everyone seemed much more friendlier and relaxed!!

We love going to the cupcake cafe & bakery. They always do us right. Great mocha and soy hot chocolate, with marshmallows! Today we had a chicken pie and tried a couple of their big filled donuts! Far better and bigger than Krispy Kreme. Money well spent for amazing service and great quality food!
