Review Olivers Cafe - Kimbolton

Amelia Maskell
A lovely small coffee shop. I assume it’s independent but might be wrong. Cakes and coffee were lovely, bacon sandwiches smelt amazing. Prices a bit high, £4.50 for a side of chips seems a lot to me. It is a nice relaxing environment. Inside and outside seating, lovely and clean, friendly staff, toilets clean, wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Dogs are allowed so be warned if you don’t like dogs in an eating area. I would go again but only if I’m in the area. There’s and area for kids party which was set with bunting and balloons 🎈 looked very sweet.

Oliver’s is a quaint eatery in the village of Kimbolton. The menu has something for everyone, including children. The atmosphere is quiet, airy, and comfortable. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with a caramel cappuccino (less milk, more foam). It was delicious! I will bring my husband back.

A very enjoyable experience. Called for an early lunch. All was brilliant including staff, service and the food and drinks. A friendly atmosphere, really tasty food and a lovely setting. Would highly recommend.

My first ever visit and although the menu lacked anything Vegan, the owner was wonderful and adapted the veggie brunch to a Vegan one. I also had a latte, which there was a milk alternative for. Perhaps a few Vegan items on the menu wouldn’t go a miss, since times are moving along with Veganism. Wonderful little coffee and food place though and I really appreciate the effort towards the owner making the food adaption for me. Thank you. I hope to be back another time.

Warm welcome and great brunch. Happy to let us put our bikes out the back so a very good stop for cyclists.

We turned up with muddy boots and an even muddier large black labrador and were made extremely welcome - straight through into the outdoor seating area. Water was provided for the dog and the toast we ordered for him was even cut up into bite sized pieces! The human food was wonderful - breakfast available all day and cakes to follow. The coffees were brilliant and the service superb. Prices were perfectly reasonable and we would thoroughly recommend Olivers to anyone in the vicinity of Kimbolton.

When I’m out on the Bike and have Kimbolton as a half way point. I always stop here. Great friendly atmosphere, very welcoming to cyclists and not forgetting a great menu to choose from

Three of us met up in Kimbolton and wanted a healthy or vegetarian lunch. The pubs that were open had menus that were not veg friendly, so we went to Oliver’s. We were greeted by Ching and Louise. It was so welcoming and all three of us had delicious vegetarian salads and spiced teas. To sum up our experience... friendly and delicious. Thank you. PS. The cakes look fab but we weren’t into sugar. It’s a great place (and shop) to visit.

I am in and out of Olivers, making particularly specific demands for tea with a micro gram of milk or coffee midway between macchiato and cappuccino, as hot as the surface of the sun with 6.5 millimetres of foam. Ching and the wonderful women are always obliging, cheerful, tolerant and regularly bring my order to me at work.

Your wonderful cafe has survived two visits that included "He of the cheese and Branston pickle sandwich. Sadly the "he" in question has just returned to Australia, but we intend to visit you again, assuming the incredible patience and cheerfulness of you and your staff can withstand it! A most enjoyable time on both visits, your food is superb, thank you very much.

Arrived about 3.30pm and got the impression we were an inconvenience as they were cleaning down to close. Stuck with it and had a very nice cake and a cup of coffee. Will probably give it another try but earlier.
