Small quiet when we visited food good ,Perfect onion barges and lamb samosa. I had the chicken biriani good but there was something missing. Not sure what it was ... A little heat or spice... don't know.
Absolutely brilliant. We visited here for our work’s Christmas meal, with a table of 15, and the food was amazing! The waiters/waitresses were very helpful and catered to all of our needs, even took the time to learn our names and made our experience very personal. The food was delicious - even though we ordered lots of dishes, it all came out piping hot and fresh! Amazing place.
Excellent curryhouse, gives a more unique offering than other local restaurants. Friendly and well priced with handy collection discounts. Only slight downside is that small things can be missed from takeaway but overall very good.

I cannot praise this restaurant enough. I really can't. The food was phenomenally, mouthwateringly tasty (and that's coming from a very fussy vegan). As for the service - that was impeccable! Absolutely first class. There are supposedly 'high class', expensive, city centre restaurants that I have been to where the service is not even in the same league as the service here.
There were 9 of us out for a family meal whilst on holiday celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary (including two vegetarians and one vegan). Every single one of us said the food was perfect. My sister said she had never had naam bread as good. I devoured the Kathmandu daal which was unsurpassable. Both my son and nephew said it was hands down the best they had ever had. My son actually tried the Nepal Chicken with pineapple. He had never had that before but the host recommended it to him rather than a Korma. He even said that if he didn't like it they would make him a Korma and he wouldn't be charged. My son said he was so glad that it had been suggested.
So, in a nutshell, if you are within travelling distance of Spice of Gurkha (even if it means going that bit further) then please make sure you visit. You will NOT be disappointed.
Very friendly staff and a very good meal. I would have given 5 stars if the phone worked outside opening hours and they had of taken my booking. Luckily they had enough space for my party and the night was a good one
Fantastic service and very friendly. You really don't want to miss the opportunity to eat here, as the food is divine as well. Have been a few times and will keep going back!

I first had Nepalese food at Jojolopa in Birmingham, and now whenever I go to Birmingham that's the restaurant I head for. I next had Nepalese food in York, so I was delighted to discover that King's Lynn has a Nepalese restaurant. To be honest, the menu only has a few items of genuine Nepalese food on it, the most of it being straightforward Indian, but I urge you to ask for the Nepalese items. The establishment is modest in size and does well to keep within the bounds of achievability. It does this by cooking everything fresh as ordered. The aim is not to have buckets of sauces and half cooled chicken/lamb etc hanging around on the off chance that someone will sooner or later ask for it. This was evidenced by having the moistest Tandoor cooked chicken I have ever had. Whenever in the past I've had Tandoor chicken it has been easy but dry, but this was so freshly cooked that it was a mouthful away from a cluck. Nepalese cuisine is distinct in character in that there are subtleties of flavours that I can only compare to how Thai food is compared to Chinese.
A fantastic dining experience with food full of flavour and not overly loaded with chilli. I have used this establishment on many occasions now and have found great continuity in the standard of food served with a waitered service second to none. I would highly recommend this establishment.
Tasty authentic food and excellent service. One of the best meals out I've had in a long time.
Second visit to the Spice of Gurkha was once again an enjoyable experience. Ordered Nepal chicken with Gurkha Special Rice, both delicious. Service attentive as always.
