On our happy hols, it was a no brainer with the weather turning to rain and requiring food, let’s go next door! why do we travel miles when the best is on your door step?
What a great decision, warm welcome and the place also smelt just right! With attentive and efficient staff and a great friendly atmosphere throughout. We enjoyed the freshly prepared food, tasty and hot who could ask for more. Very much enjoyed the crab sandwich and lemon meringue pud, hope to return soon.

Fantastic location, overlooking the estuary. The sharing board was amazing, highly recommended. The staff were very friendly and the kitchen accommodated a dietary intolerance (dairy) without any trouble. Perfect start to our stay in the area.

Quaint little restaurant with nice decor and helpful and welcoming front of house staff. The food was hot and came out fast, we had the XL scampi and the double beef burger and were impressed with the taste of both. Keep up the good work! & thank you. 4/5

Fab. Waterside restaurant with fabulous views and outside dining if it's not blowing a hoolee! Took the dog, and were welcomed with open arms. Food was super, but the service was even better. Try the Atlantic King Prawns, what a sauce! Definitely go back.

Well, the fish on this menu is spectacular. The portion sizes are plentiful. The views are stunning along the estuary. The staff are all well dressed and very polite and helpful. Great for families. Car park has plenty of spaces. Small deli on the side. Lots of outdoor seating. Great place in the summer.

Excellent place to eat. Sitting out by the Kingsbridg Estuary eating wonderful food from the sea. A great menu with plenty on offer, cooked beautifully, well presented....and very tasty indeed. The staff were brilliant, friendly, cheerful and very attentive. I highly recommend this place to visit... Avery good seafood restaurant....not to be missed!!!!!

Lovely waterside inn with great food and drinks and a great atmosphere. Sit and chill looking at the boats. Had a takeaway pizza which was vegetarian. Very good and tasty.

Great location, lovely suntrap 'while we visited anyway' a couple of our meals we had could of had alttle more attention...in saying this- it was rather busy.
We ordered a seafood platter which was lovely and done to perfection, the scampi dish was great, although i thought the dish was overwhelmed with fries, spoilt the overall appearance (nothing major)
I personally had the "Chicken burger" wasn't for me in the end if I'm honest...the batter was too greasy, non-the-less our overall experience was very good with lovely staff who were very attentive given it was a busy a service.

Female bar staff were a little upfront and rude upon arrival. We were served by a lovely young gentleman who went above and beyond to check everything in the kitchen would be suitable for two of our party being Coeliacs - we can absolutely recommend the Gluten Free fish and chips. I think many establishments fail to realise that if one person is unable to eat due to allergies / intolerances / coeliac disease that they will not lose just one customer, but the whole group! The Crabshell Inn offers a fantastic menu and we were ALL so happy with our food, drinks and service that we tipped heavily and have recommended to others who visit the area.

arrived hereby boat as it’s easy to tie up right outside the pub. Good selection of beers and a good selection of food. Parking can be tricky if you come by car at the weekend

An excellent pub and great food too. We love coming alongside on a high tide for a pizza and a pint. The main menu is varied and very tasty, overall a great place to while away the time by the estuary.

First time visit to the Crab Shell and will definitely be returning next time we are visiting from Manchester. I had the Crabby pizza and salad and can honestly say it was one of the best pizzas I have eaten! My family also had pizzas and the crab sandwich and extras, it was all fab and the staff were excellent, friendly and efficient, well done �

I had the most harrowing experience ever in a restaurant. We had a table booked for 6 pm and was seated at that time and we were one of the first tables to order which we did by about 6.10 pm. Several tables then filled around us. We started getting concerned when people around us that were seated after us were getting their food. Eventually we had to call a waitress around 7 pm if our food was nearly ready. The waitress spoke to chef and then there was a lot of scurrying around and looking through the orders. It was obvious that they had lost our order. We were offered a free drink or a free drink but refused a discount. We left in disgust and will never use the restaurant again.

For starters we had mussels and the scallop dishes - both were lovely . Mains were the Hangar Steak and sea bass over chile linguine- the steak was amazing , fish was good but the pasta was just a little dry . Chocolate fondant never ceases to hit the spot !!! The staff were all lovely and very attentive and the atmosphere very cozy. The arrival of the Kingsmen singers in the bar was an enchanting and expected bonus ! The slight disappointment with the pasta dish is the only reason for 4 and not 5 stars ! Go - it's fab !!

Great place great carvery every Sunday.the boss always as time to say hello.bands Saturday evening .wish they would start earlier.maybe do in the summer.gets very busy in summer.great place when fair week is on.lovely breakfast too.and the best coffee.best pub and more reasonable price than other pubs in Kingsbridge and a lovely views by the quay

The steak and prawns come highly recommended! As does the blueberry & lemon drizzle cake from the deli which was out of this world!
The location is superb, as we chose to sit outside whilst the children crabbed and watched the paddle boarders drift by in the midday sun!
No hesitation in visiting again or recommending to others!!

Too many dogs very unhygienic some bloke bought3 Labradors into restaurant another couple let their big dog just roam. Also someone had vomited in the toilets will not be going back or recommend this kennel

Favourite cider (Heron Valley) + favourite food (prawns) + favourite wine (Malbec) + favourite views = favourite place! Excellent service... you will even get offered a tea towel to sit on if you accidentally sit on a wet seat outside (oops!) haha �� :)
