Great great great… wonderful service, masks all around, so great from a Covid point… the burgers were great, small peoples food was well cooked and not your usual pain nuggets and sausages! A brilliant selection of burgers, beef, chicken, lamb and meatless… we hadn’t booked and they managed to fit us in. If I’m in Kingsbridge I’d visiting again!
We'll definitely visit again. The outdoor section is lovely, really clean. Super covid measures in place. Menu had great choices, loved the kids menu. My son would highly recommend the milkshakes!
The burgers are so tasty, you can tell it's farmed locally, it tasted happy!!!!! My husband had a salad, perfect mix of crunch, leaves and melt in the mouth steak.
And the puddings! Oh my!!!! There was lots of fighting! The Butterscotch Sundae had 3 massive chunks of crunchy, chewy honeycomb on the ice cream (which is salcombe dairy, so the tastiest Devon ice cream ever!)
The Mississippi mud pie was delicious.... The pastry was crunchy and just so buttery.... And the filling was a perfect combo of salted caramel and chocolate.
The only problem..... I want to go back again! I saw someone having the jumbo sausage and dirty fries, and even my husband commented that we need to try that!
We used the takeaway service (as they're closed to diners Tuesdays), we were looking forward to burger night, especially our 14 year old. It was (young) man verses the double Dexter and the double Dexter won 🥴🤣
My wife had the BBQ burger and I had the lamb, we also shared the rack of ribs. Great burgers and spot on ribs and a lovely friendly team.
What a wonderful experience. If you are a steak lover you really won't get better than this....my rib eye was cooked exactly as ordered....as I understand it , it's locally reared beef , just perfect. Sides are as you would expect. Service is always exemplary here and a real bonus is the wine list. Properly thought out with some really stand out stuff. My malbec and partner's pink were both really good. Thanks to all concerned.
We shared the sharing board tonight. This was the best steak we have had for a long time. The fact that they grow and butcher their own local beef makes it extra special. With great service and reasonably priced too. 2very full and happy diners.
We have been excited to try Woody's for some time and we weren't disappointed! Their takeaway menu had so many choices and it was very easy to order online - having the designated time slot to pick up our order made it feel very safe too. I am vegetarian and had the veggie burger and it was one of the best I've ever had! My boyfriend had the Woody's burger and he loved it! Both came with a side of chips and coleslaw and we had the Clucking Feast to start - which was brilliant value for money and the BBQ wings were delicious (apparently!). We finished it off with strawberry and white chocolate cheesecake which I'd also recommend trying too! Thanks Woody's for a great takeaway treat - we can't wait to come back and try more of the menu!
It's rare that I sit in a restaurant and feel the urge to write a review while I'm still in my seat. I have to say that Woody's is an unusually good restaurant in that every element of the meal was very good: the coleslaw (crunchy veg in the right amount of sauce), the steak (quality meat, cooked to perfection), the mac and cheese (smothered but not swimming in a tasty, creamy cheese sauce with proper handcut bacon). The service was friendly and attentive. And importantly all of us (8) at the table are now talking about how much we have enjoyed our meals. Well done Woody's, I think we'll be back.
Had a fantastic sharer block with chateaubriand, ribeye and rump. Great service from the lovely girls. Deserts also very nice. Reasonably priced considering the quality of the food. Recommend Woody's and will go again.
This was are second time here and again the food the service did not disapoint. We as a family felt very safe in there with lots of space the staff were lovely and very helpful.
I could recommend this restaurant to anyone I know and be confident that they would love it just like we do.

It's all about meaty dishes here and they do them well. The main man is brilliant at looking after customers. Personally, I'd prefer more variety of salads, sides and non-meat starters.
At last! A really, really good steak & burger restaurant in Kingsbridge! It absolutely does what it says - fantastic local meats, excellent sundae puddings, milk shakes to make your mouth water. Very good smiley service.

This place is amazing! I can’t wait to work my way through the menu. The chicken wings were incredible, as was the Woody’s burger. I also had the cheesecake which was great. I would highly recommend Woody’s and it was excellent value.

Absolutely amazing food quality! Service was outstanding, food came with in 15minutes. Just a lovely friendly place to spend an evening. We will be going back for sure 😁

Nice place. Enjoyed my meal but would've been nicer with the onion rings that were forgotten. Bit on the pricey side for what it is. Seemed to lack atmosphere somehow but I can't put my finger on why. Would visit again though.
Tasty burgers with good portions and quality meat. Its a shame the katsu chicken fries are no longer spicy anymore though, the flavour changed and its now bland with no spice
Perfect lockdown takeaway service. Delicious juicy burger and tasty ribs. Great system in place to allow online ordering and safe collection. Look forward to dining in soon!
Food was amazing. Staff were friendly. Nothing more you could want from a burger/steak restaurant. Recommend a visit if in the area.
