My family and I had a lovely dinner here tonight. It’s very good value with a set meal option and kids choices. The employees were very friendly and attentive also. All in all 5/5 for service, quality of food & value. The set meal is £14.95 and the portions were just right. We’ll be returning soon. Thanks guys!

A small restaurant that leaves a huge impression. The staff and service were outstanding, and the food was amazing. The star of the show for me was "naga jalfrezi", for my wife it's was the "special mix biryani" but the kids preferred the king prawn balti bhuna & mix balti masala. Hopefully, we can return there if we are ever the area.

Visited after reading a Hull Daily Mail article on how good it was on Saturday.
Wow! Food was so tasty, service was excellent. We ate so much food, we couldn’t stop ourselves. Think I have found my new go to Indian restaurant. Will definitely be returning!

We unfortunately didn’t get to experience the food here as the youngest was just to tired for us to stay, so we had to leave. But what we saw coming out the kitchen smelled and looked absolutely delicious! The service was great up until we had to make an early dash! The Atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and welcoming 😻hopefully we will get to come back to taste some of the amazing looking foods! 😋

Had another fabulous meal at the Madras, the service was excellent despite it being a very busy evening, and the food was outstanding. I love that nothing is too much trouble, the staff are very friendly and attentive and everything is beautifully presented. The six of us all had different meals and everyone was really happy with their choices. 10 out of 10, thank you for a lovely dinner 💕

We've been here several times and we rate this as one of the best Indian restaurants in Hull, the first time we went we definitely over indulged we had to walk out off all the way over to old town, just to get a taxi, the food is gorgeous, the service is second to none and they are so helpful with advice on your order and prices are so reasonable, please try you won't be disappointed. Also the bloke who used to service my boiler said he had a job to do there one Saturday morning and said the place was soooooo clean even after a busy Saturday night, that's the only Indian he would recommend. 👍👍👍

Taste is good!! Basically it’s a North Indian restaurant, don’t expect Tamil Nadu style food definitely not madras 😂

Top Indian restaurant, so relaxed, staff are very polite and welcoming, food is fresh throughout from start to finish, the place has not been running for 15+ years for nothing, thank you to all the staff and owner of Madras, made my mum's birthday treat very special for her and for us.

Came here on Saturday September 25th as it opened. We were served very promptly by a very friendly waiter. The food was lovely, very well cooked. We were always kept up to date about the state of our order which was a nice touch. Very reasonable prices as well. Only problem was the ladies toilets. When I went in the toilet doors have a massive gap around them so you can easily see out into the bathroom. I know only ladies would go in there but it is a little uncomfortable to find there’s a large enough gap for people to see into, hence four stars and not five.

After a few reccommendations thought we would try here and was not disappointed. Starters were beautiful (tandoori chicken tikka & onion bhaji), popodoms were good and mains were also good , definitely preferred the dupiaza over the bhuna though.. but know for next time. Our new favourite indian i think. We will be back.

We decided to pop in for our evening meal at short notice and were seating immediately. The restaurant had ambient lighting with faint music in the background with lovely decor. The staff were attentive and the food was phenomenal. From Sunday to Thursday there is an option of choosing from a set 4 course menu for £15 which had an extensive choice however we decided to opt for a few specials from the standard menu. We waited approximately 15 minutes and were asked by our lovely waiter if everything was to our liking. Everything was cooked to perfection and reasonably priced. The location isn't fantastic but that doesn't detract from the restaurant itself. Will definitely visit again!

went here last night after visiting times at hospital as it was just across the road, im surprised not more inmates (of the hospital) dont go there because of the food thats on offer at the hospital...
on a monday and a tuesday there is an offer of 5 courses for £7.95, i dont know how they work out the courses but the food was exceptional, not a lot of choice from the set menu though....
so with 2 bottles of shiraz later and a big doggy bag to bring home came to under £40 for the two of us and me with my dinner the next day,
the restaraunt itself had a complete make over about 31/2 yrs ago and looks really nice and a good size tables and chairs where comfortable, unfortunatly we were the only ones there, but the owners and staff where very polite and attentative, the young proprietors son, was very helpful in letting us know what we was eating and helpful in making my choice on what to eat as i dont do very hot food.....
the toilet facilities was very clean, but very small its a good job i was the only woman in , cos i pee'd with the door open lol, as would feel very claustraphobic.
they even ordered a taxi for us, and we made sure we got a take out menu as im sure we will go again xmx

Well its maybe a bit better than average Indian restaurants in the area, but maybe just another to tick off the list. The modern laminate flooring and decor don't mean that it has a new modern looking menu, still typical indian cuisine that helps fill a hole.
