Great location. Great décor. Not too noisy. Good music. Altogether great atmosphere. Tried Grilled chicken Gyro, tasted great! Definitely recommend. Also tried Vegan Fried chicken Gyro, also tasted amazing! Plus pepsi Max and cappuccino. Amazing value, will definitely be visiting again. Dog friendly
This is one of the best pubs in the old town part of Hull. Great location, just off Trinity Square, offering a nice view of Hull Minster. The pub is a short walk from the madness that can be found down Silver Street. The Head of Steam offers a chilled place to sample a wide variety of beers and co
Didn't eat but food coming out of the kitchen looked spot on. Pizzas, burgers, tacos, wraps, gyros etc with lots of vegan options. Excellent selection of beers, both on draft and in the fridge. Had local brews alongside Belgian beers, IPA's, international lagers etc so something for everyone. Partner
Walked in unbooked and we were accommodated with no problems. Very polite and helpful staff. The bar and restaurant was very clean and tastefully decorated with quirky features, an excellent choice of beers and a fantastic menu which includes many vegan options. We opted for the bourbon burger and c
I really like this place. On this occasion it was very quiet for some reason but previously it has been absolutely packed. The staff are extremely friendly and we had a long chat with them about anything and everything. Good decor and plenty of seating inside and out. Good selection of food and drin
Just visited the Head of Steam for a late lunch - happy to say still doing food at 3/4 pm and it was great. For beer and music lovers - can’t beat Motörhead Road Crew! Fab pub and staff Emily looked after us very well - will come again if back in Hull.
Of all the pubs in Hull I have been to, this is the only one I have been back to. Lovely atmosphere, great beer and delicious food. Takeaway service on the craft beer was a welcome bonus too.
The head of Steam is a great pub with a good range of beers. The food is very popular a good place to call in for a drink or a bite to eat if you're in the Old Town. I've called in for drink with a couple of friends and enjoyed it and being with the large group on an evening pre booked a table in ad
Had a lovely meal out with a friend. The burgers were lovely and the chips were nice. My rhubarb gin was the highlight of the evening. Our dessert were lovely but would have preferred the chocolate sauce in the side. Over all it was a really nice place for a meal and a catch up.
This is the best pub in Hull. The staff are all really lovely and nothing is ever too much trouble. Excellent food, the chefs know their business. A good range of drinks even the soda water and lime is excellent. The woman in charge of the bar does an excellent job as the place is spotless and reall
The atmosphere is wonderful. Food is well priced and honestly absolutely delicious. The place has a great view from the inside onto Trinity Square and they have plenty of offers on different days. The list of cocktails and craft beers is extensive; something there for everyone. The staff are lovely
Always a great place to visit with a good beer selection but what would give if only if they had more Leeds best bitter on tap. Music night great with good atmosphere. Plenty of Seats and food good also. Plenty of Nautical trivia on the walls.
I visited the lovely "Head of Steam" pub in Hull trinity Square today, fantastic atmosphere! Lovely food and Emily at the bar was superb. Highly recommended with a great selection of beers 🍻😉 cheers! Plus table outside on a sunny day!
Went for lunch other day. The venue is nice and spacious and has a good feel about it. Plenty of beers and ales to try out and a small cocktail menu. New food menu looks good with loads to choose from. Eg Pizzas / Kebabs and burgers. Also a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options. Worth a visit d
Food was absolutely incredible!! Had dirty fries and a burger and I must say the dirty fries were some of the best I ever had in my life!! Cosy little setting as well. The only negative for me was the selection of beer but not to worry. Quite pricey but well worth it! Would recommend to try it
I'm not vegan but I've tried some of the menu items that are and thoroughly enjoyed them. Excellent beers too. Very reasonable lunchtime menu.
Fantastic food, nice and hot, clean environment friendly staff, it was busy on a Monday constantly people coming in wanting food, we had the burgers 🍔 and they were lush, highly recommend these, next time we will try the pizza’s.
