Popped out for a few drinks and a bite to eat after work as it is fairly local. The food, as always, was delicious and the staff as friendly and courteous as ever. A very enjoyable experience was had, once again, in one of my favourite bars. Don't believe me? Why not try it yourself

My nephew introduced me to this pub on the 21st December. I loved it! It was a cold frosty evening and we managed to find a table although the place was crowded. It was warm and welcoming. Fab, helpful and friendly staff with a relaxing atmosphere. The smoking area out back is one of the best I've seen and some of the seating alcoves are actually heated. We went there again last night but last orders were called at 21:45. Oh well, it was Christmas Eve... Recommended.

Larkins bar is a great place for a drink or something to eat. There is an excellent range of beers, lagers, cider, and craft beers and also excellent cask conditioned hand-pulled real ales. The style is modern bare brick with wooden floors. The bar is very popular for food. The pizzas look fabulous. It's quite a large bar, plenty of seating, but it has a nice cosy feel to it. There is also a large outdoor beer garden with plenty of covered seating with cosy cabins.

Larkin's Bar is a delightful spot that holds a special place in the hearts of Estrella enthusiasts. With its inviting ambiance and friendly staff, it's the perfect destination for those seeking a laid-back atmosphere to enjoy their favorite brew. The comfortable seating arrangements ensure a relaxing experience, whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying some quiet time alone. During my visit, I noticed some exciting activity in the back, hinting at the creation of something new and exciting. Additionally, I appreciated the option to host events at Larkin's Bar, adding another layer of versatility to this charming establishment. All in all, Larkin's Bar provides a welcoming environment, great drinks, and the promise of something fresh on the horizon, making it a place worth returning to time and time again.

Always a wonderful atmosphere in Larkins, the food is top notch. It's great with the family or just a day/night out with friends. 5 stars all the time, we haven't ever had a bad experience there and have probably been going regularly for the last 5 years.

Food was amazing, couldn't fault it, so damn good. Staff were ace too. Only bad thing I can say is the outside sheds could do with a lick of paint and a tidy up but that's neither here nor there.

Friendly service from beginning to the end and from all the staff including the manager. Family friendly place as we were 6 adults and a toddler. Decent lunch menu and we ordered omelette (£7.25) and cod fish cakes (£7.95). Big portion at reasonable price. Tasted great. Highly recommended on Newland Avenue.

I was truly surprised by the whole experience. It's a lively bar restaurant with extremely reasonable prices for the most mouth-watering food we've had for a long time. I suggest that if there's more than two or three in your group that you book a table as we did. It's so good you'll have trouble getting a seat if you don't.

Went here as a backup as we were badly let down by another venue and were impressed by the friendliness and atmosphere of the place and staff. We arrived not long before food orders stopped but they were honest about that. The food was great and plentiful and a 4* for that is a good 4* ( it has to be absolutely exceptional for a 5* so this is not a mark down). We couldn't order desserts because time wouldnt allow it but newland avenue has so many alternatives we just went to a cake shop and picked some up for takeaway.. Guys and gals , you saved our afternoon out after a bad letdown by another venue. Thanks.

Very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get! I was very impressed with the portion sizes. The burgers looked incredible and my wife had the pea and pesto risotto which was delicious. I had the fish and chips, but the batter on the fish was a little chewy (possibly could do with a higher temp in the fryer) I would also comment that where we were sat was a little dark! But overall, great value. We will be back.

Turned up on the spur of the moment. Table for 3 without booking and appeared to be a few available but was still busy. £13 for a starter and a main so very good value. Alpine burger is a tad unwieldy but tasted good and the people with me enjoyed their food too. Good selection of beer/ale but this isn't the type of place to serve Carling et al. Beer prices are on par for the area. There is outdoor seating but, strangely, a lot of this was given away for an outdoor Christmas tree shop... Overall it is a great place to eat but there is so many identikit places in the area that it doesn't feel special.
