A great traditional pub with an excellent range of cask conditioned real ale. Really good food. A really nice cosy pub slightly out of the way near the New Theatre. Very nice friendly staff, it's a great place to call for a drink or a meal.

Found an amazing new place in #Hull Chilli Devils. It’s Hulls smallest pub and the UK’s only Chilli & Real Ale pub. The chilli is THE best chilli I’ve ever tasted and they do real cider too 10/10. They have live music at the weekends. A lovely small pub I will definitely be coming back to again in the future, highly recommended if your visiting Hull.

We had a party in the function room upstairs. We had a brilliant time. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. We had free run of the upstairs, with a staffed bar in the room. And our own toilets. The food was brilliant and well laid out and presented. Children are not allowed in the downstairs bar except for when they arrive and when they leave, but there's plenty of space upstairs for them to run around. I would happily recommend the new clarence e for private parties. Parking is free after 5 pm

Relaxed bar with great chilli (curry too) plus a vegetarian option. Excellent beer and cider on rotation so always something new to try and something to enjoy . Really worth a visit

Good food, reasonably priced. Exceptional choice of beers, well kept. Friendly helpful staff. Very enjoyable experience. Haven't eaten there recently but nothing I've seen has changed my opinion of this venue. Still has good beers, well kept. Good staff and good atmosphere.

Absolutely brilliant place! The food is amazing and has veriaty as well as the booze Being cheap ;) were always welcomed with a smile from the legendary staff and landlord. The entertainment is always on point with live music and shows from all the local talent!. Do youself a favour and go for a pint !
