Always a good choice whether you fancy and beer, a meal or a coffee. The food was always excellent here but I have been for a meal in years so cannot comment. What I will say is, that it’s been one of Hulls consistently good bars and always has a great atmosphere. There’s a massive selection of beers, ales, ciders from around the world on tab and in the fridges. They sometimes have artists playing chilled jazz or blues on a Sunday too.

Visited for a drink on my brother’s birthday Apparently it’s the place my brother first met his wife! Very nice pub! Next visit I intend to sample the food

Good choice of real ales and reasonable prices for the area, staff friendly, atmosphere great.

Long standing establishment with a wonderful airy atmosphere, original features and really good service. Wide range of beers and spirits. Only had drinks today but food is also very good. Highly recommend.

Great selection of drinks. Relaxed atmosphere and dog-friendly

Went for lunch last Sunday. Menu is thorough and has a large selection of vegetarian options. I had the house burger with blue cheese which was great- my brother had a vegetarian platter which looked amazing. Prices are on par for the area (nearly £5 for a pint of Brooklyn was a bit of an eye opener but to be expected). Large beer garden in the rear which was useful as the live music was not exactly to my taste and pretty loud when attempting to eat and chat... Pave is the original 'bar' on Princes Avenue so if you want to see how it all began then it's worth a visit... Just don't expect much change from a round of drinks.

Great atmosphere this afternoon to see the fabulous Ragpickers with extra special guest Frankie from Mambo Jambo. Lovely place to spend a wet Sunday November afternoon.

Chilled out vibes good beer choice consistent for decades.

Very very quiet on Thursday evening. Seems that many bars close early, so it was a poor atmosphere.
Lovely poured beer and a great selection on tap.

Earthy, with a good selection of beer and other drinks, including local brews. Lots of seating for us old(ish) 'uns...

Great service. Good selection of beers. No food but they allow you to bring in take aways - super fish and chips just across the road.

Pave is no longer doing food
Came today a Wednesday for a light meal with Friends but told food no longer sold.
Having said that the staff were good and helpful
The fire was great first in as they opened at 16: 00 so got seats right next to it

Friendly place, shame it's not open earlier or doing food any more as used to be fabulous. Good beer selection.

Pave is usually quite a busy venue. There is a good mix of inter-generational conversation, as well as a friendly and efficient staff. It serves as a good meeting point in Princess Avenue and the atmosphere is energetic.

Good pub, although a bit pricey. Lovely waiters; a chap called Mike changed my beer when I said it tasted a bit off (the next one was much better). Buying system is great- you scan a code, go on the website and order. And in like 1-2 mins the waiter brings you your order.

Pleasant atmosphere, great choice of beers, and friendly service, just wish we had the time to stay longer, so we will have to go again to make up for it. Even better after going for a second time, loved it.

Consistent standards, food good but staff a little inattentive at times.

Still the best pint of Theakstons around but why oh why introduce MUSIC to the place??? It’s hard enough hearing one talk anyway and now we have to shout even louder. A bad move in my opinion.

Pave is a good place to drink great beer having a good selection of regular and bottled beers as well as three guest beers that change regularly. It is friendly and serves good food. I like to think of this as my local

I have food allergies and they were respectful and responsible. Felt comfortable eating here. Food was awesome. Staff were friendly and conscientious

Pave is a wonderful place to hang out , it is home to many live bands and wonderful dining food too.
This pub is also in a row leading on to others bars and eateries along this path ...great atmosphere.

The original wine bar on Princes Ave which is still the best. Great for a pre-match #hcafc bite and a beer

Service was terrible. Ordered food for two & only one meal arrived. 15 minutes later I had to ask were the second meal was to be told the had forgotten but would be 5 minutes, 25 minutes later if arrived. Disappointing

Visited with my daughters for my pre-match lunch and to meet friends. Great atmosphere and enjoyed our food and some excellent beer. I follow my team Stoke up and down the land in an unofficial role as "pub finder". This is a welcome addition to the list and my fellow supporters were happy!

sticky table, dirty seating. Needs a good clean in there, not very good environment for eating food, disappointed. seems to be going down the pan. shame
