Toby Carvery

We booked into the Innkeepers Lodge and went over to the Toby Carvary for drinks and dinner. We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. We were then asked if we would like to order a drink and asked if we were having a Toby Carvery which we were. We were asked to go over to the Carvery and get our meat and help ourselves to the potatoes, vegetables and gravy. Our drinks came to the table and the meal was enjoyable. Unfortunately no one asked us if we wanted dessert so we missed out on the Cookie Dough Sundea, we were very disappointed. We will have to go for our meal earlier next time so hopefully we'll not miss it. Staff were polite and friendly. I would suggest that new customers need to know that when the carvery closes you can't get dessert as everything food wise finishes.

The carvery is fantastic and hotel immaculately clean and comfortable. But what sets this place apart is the wonderful care and service of the whole team. During my parents' stay my dad had to be ambulanced to hospital, and in the days that followed every single member of the Toby team - from cleaning staff to front desk - made a point of checking in with my mum and really took care of her while she was vulnerable. What a wonderful place this is. Come for a roast and stay for the hospitality. Thank you so much.

We booked on line and then we phoned and added an additional person to our table which was no problem at all. On arrival we were welcomed and shown our table and spoken to in a very polite manner. We all had a carvery with no complaints about the food. The young lady who looked after us was very polite and friendly and made the visit even more enjoyable. The only comment was the area we sat in could have been a little warmer but as more people arrived it did warm up.

Stayed here, had some issues with food availability but the morning manager was lovely and went above needed to redeem the service so left happy, and we weren't in a rush so it wasn't a problem. Gone back for dinner tonight and was served by Vicky who was lovely, made sure the App benefits were included and had a lovely manner. Love the room, cleaners topped up the hot drinks supplies without being asked and has a lovely feel. I like the privacy and being able to be left to it once checked in.

To be honest everything was fantastic! We had booked in advance and were seated at a great table. The staff were super friendly and at no point did we feel pressured to be quick so lovely and relaxed with great service. The food was as usual lovely, the carvery was first class and the Yorkshire Pudding wrap is great value
