Second time visit this evening with the husband and can not fault this pub lovely service by all staff members (with myself working in a pub environment I know it is always nice to make sure you make the guests smile) and good quality and good portion sized meals :) Also understanding on changing things on a dessert and desserts are lovely and yet again good portion size must say I will be visiting again . Also the vouchers on the email club you can't fault that either :)
Lovely food , prices are dead cheap , great place to go nd relax :). would recommend it to anyone
The Avenue is an excellent community pub. This former bass pub, has been modernised over the years. There is a comfortable front Lounge and a very smart back bar with darts and a pool table. There is an excellent choice of beers and lagers, with three cask conditioned hand pulled real ales, including a rotating guest beer which is a real plus as some pubs near here don't have any cask beer at all. The food menu and meal deals are excellent, the gammon egg & pineapple is a particular favourite. Very friendly staff, pub car park, not dog friendly, outside seating. It's very rare I give a pub a five-star rating but the quality of the beer makes it five. Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere especially Saturday night's. The new menu is really refreshing for a local pub. The pulled pork pizza is definitely worth a try.
The new starters are amazing.
We had a family function here on Thursday 21st Sept. A sad occasion but the staff were friendly and the back room bar we'd hired was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced exactly what we needed. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. Hopefully the next time we visit it will be under better circumstances.
I don’t usually write reviews but me and my partner went in and had an excellent time in the Avenues. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the pub and the staff were great. Matthew the pubs chef was especially outstanding by taking time out to make sure our order was okay!
The avenues pub is a brilliant pub with a welcoming family atmosphere and amazing food. Pizza and tapas was amazing made by Matthew and he also made sure everything was okay and we was happy with the food. would definitely come for food again.
popped in for a few beers and to watch football. great drink selection at reasonable price. ordered food and was superb cooked by young man named matty. would recommend the avenue pub
Came in on tuesday, had an offer on for pizzas buy one get one free, had two meat feast pizzas couldn’t believe how much topping there was! credit to chef matty and the team definitely recommend
Took the family out for some tea in the pub and was impressed with the value for money especially the 2 for £10 menu, staff were all very helpful as well including the young chef (I think his name was Matthew) who stopped to chat and ensure everything was okay with our meals, no complaints at all!
First time at this pub, food pretty good very similar to a spoons and the prices too. Would recommend.
Had the smothered chicken from the menu. Absolutely loved it. They can loose the thimble sized container of salad but otherwise spot on.
