Smithy's is a really good fish and chip shop. The homemade patties (a dish totally unknown outside hull) are very good. It surprises me how much patties can vary from one chip shop to another. The staff are very friendly and the fish and chips (my go-to fast food) are always excellent, you can't beat a beautifully cooked haddock.

I've been coming to Smithys since I was a child, there's a wide range of food to choose from such as lasagna to stu & dumplings, the food & service has always been definitively great, the staff have always taken care of the customers & community for years, hence the reason for it still being in operation after all these years.

I'm surprised I've not reviewed this place before, I've frequented this fish and chip shop for years, and always, always had great fish and chips and quality service from really friendly staff.

I've been going to Smithy's chippy for absolutely years, moved from Hull but always go back when there, Graham always makes me and the wife a tea and coffee, (free) there always happy, have a chat about holidays, weather and we always take our feed to Pearson park, we have found it incredibly good value and great food (fish bite are wife's)

Its bloomin wet, cold & I'm hungry. Stopped off in my car, in a bay outside Smithy's takeaway, to treat myself to chicken curry n chips! Re stoked the heat with this snack! Hot, delicious and hit the spot! Cheers!

I love this shop. Not just a chippy. They do stews. Curries. Meat pies. Lasagne. But the liver sausage and onion is to die for. In fact I am going to get my tea from there tonight. The staff and the owners are all very friendly.
