Doner Summer

The most outrageously dirty, but colourful and fresh vegan scran. Definitely Instagrammable material. Doner Summer is a firm favourite of ours when we're in need of comfort food or a cheat meal. They've got us hooked on Soda Folk drinks too... Who would have thought blueberry muffin soda would be so delicious? We haven't been back since they released their updated menu, but I'm sure it's nothing but food-gasmic. Everything is very "meaty", there's a real depth of flavour to the meat substitutes and the salad, sauces and pickles really lift everything which is needed with the carby goodness of a flatbread or fries base. Big fans. Go and fill your boots, you won't regret a single bite.

I'm a meat eater but have heard so many good reviews about doner summer. Went for my daughters birthday, who is vegetarian. The food was amazing, portion sizes are just right, really fresh and tasty, will definitely visit again, highly recommended. The guy working that night was so friendly too! Brilliant experience!

9.5/10 ! A few months ago me and the missus planned a trip to Hull and I've been waiting to order from here ever since! We get there and the cosy little diner has a nice calm atmosphere and some lovely staff. The menu looks colourful and very diversified in terms of flavours, it inspires a sense of excitement akin to giddiness that kids get on Christmas morning! A little pricey of course, most vegan dishes are - especially ones that have been well prepared. I must say the quality of the dishes was astounding, outstanding, divine! The Donner is to die for. I haven't tasted a vegan donner that good yet. Definitely 10/10 in terms of flavours and texture. So many different styles hit the pallet at once you will feel like there is a party of flavours dancing around your mouth! My partner also tried the chicken and oh my days. The taste is awesome... But the texture !!! It is SOMETHING ELSE! I couldn't believe it. You have to try the chicken!!! Amazeeeeeballsssss. The only flaw I can find was the chocolate orange milkshake was wayyy to dark for me but that's a personal preference thing. Next time I'd suggest going for the salted caramel maybe? Those animal tots (love the pun) were awesome too - worth every penny! Not too much potato, just enough crunch-to-oil ratio. Bangin. Anyway thank you very much! Enjoy future veganers!

Vegan fast food. Price range around £10 for a main. Quite tasty food, actually tastes like unhealthy fast food. Big portions. Food can taste stodgy after a while, so order something acidic with it. Visually very aesthetic food. Creatively flavoured (Vegan) doners, loaded fries, fried chicken, milkshakes available. Good and freindly service. Outdoor seating, only one table indoors.

After seeing photos of the food from here we had to go and it definitely did not disappoint! The food was utterly delicious, the drinks were beautiful too especially the elderflower one and the cream soda! Even my non vegan partner loved it! The staff were lovely and there was literally no waiting time at all maybe 10 minutes from ordering our food/drinks to receiving it. One of my new favourite vegan places in Hull. The 'not' chicken was so tasty, you get very good portion sizes and it is so filling. I would definitely recommend to anyone, vegan or not to give it a try 🥰

Vegan delight for sure. I’ve been to Doner Summer so many times since opening, I forget how many. The food is Amazing, the people who work here are Super Passionate about the brand, the food, the ingredients and these things combined make this easily a 5 star review. With so many fresh local ingredients used this is a Little Gem of a place to eat. I have introduced so many people to them who are not Vegan, but just don’t care when it comes to the taste and looks of the food. Give them a try you will not be disappointed

There are no words to describe how amazing the food at Döner Summer is, honestly the best thing to do is over order then eat it for days, it’s just amazing. I literally had Döner Summer on Christmas Day (a Christmas kit of course, I’m not going ham on a box of fried chick’n on Christmas Day), if I lived closer it’d be dangerous.
