Great true Italian food - nice ambiance - very hospitable staff!

Excellent Italian food, far too much for me to be able to finish but what I managed to eat was superb.
Trattoria Calabrese is a fantastic little italian restaurant in Norbiton. It's very intimate and authentic and serves delicious food. When we visited last, we had the Bresaola to start, which was a little expensive but well portioned and with lovely fresh beef and parmesan. Then we had the tagliatelle with ham and cream, very rich but delicious nonetheless ; and the seabass with tomatoes, olives, capers and spinach which was some of the best fish I've tried. The tiramisu to finish was exceptional. The only reason I wouldn't rate it more highly is because the service was very slow, despite its charm, and it's not exactly authentic to be paying £3.50 for a basket of bread- in Italy it's complementary every time!
Lovely restaurant - the decor was rustic and charming. They offer seating either indoors or in a conservatory area. The gentleman serving on the particular evening was very pleasant, as was the kitchen staff. Fast service.
Ordered two seabass dishes. It was tasty but quite pricey for the portion sizes. The tiramisu however was the highlight - a must try if you come here! Very light and flavoursome.
We came to Trattoria Calabrese because we were visiting Richmond Park abd were curious about the 4.8 stars on Google (and we love Italian food) and SO GLAD we came. The men who attended us were beyond nice, and the two pastas we ordered were amazing, the nduja one (it is spicy so beware!) and the creamy prawn-salmon. All super good. The portions look small in the pictures, do not be fooled as they were quite big! Do come if you are in the area! We will be back for sure.
Wednesday night? Italian near Kingston/ Richmond? We decided to try out Trattoria Calabrese, and man we weren't DISAPPOINTED. From the service to the food. The Chef made a suprise appearance which was very nice. Good staff, good people and even better food. Big 5/5
Local Italian restaurant in Kingston. My new favourite in the area. Hearty delicious plates of pasta with good portions. The seafood pastas are great and recommend trying them out. The starters like the bruschetta are also worth ordering.
The wine selection could be improved.
This is flavour wise, the best Italian food in London, I can not believe I lived in New Malden, and this place has been here for 10 years, and this is my first visit, I will come back again next week food fantastic, fresh and delicious
I have been coming for years to Trattoria Calabrese and quality and service is the perfect for family Italian. Tonight writing review as had brilliant date night with my. Choose this for your next Italian meal out. Alex

I have been dining here at Trattoria Calabrese for over 7 years and still is the best Italian in Kingston. Owner Selim is always hospitable very positive, great person. His Italian Kitchen team one of the best that l have seen in my Hotel experience. Once again thank you for the lovely food and fantastic service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Booked table was for 18.00 and that was a good time gor a Saturday evening. The gentleman that was front of house was very warm and welcoming.
I was on a first date with someone and the restaurant made the atmosphere to be relaxed .
Had an amazing meal all cooked freshly and served with a smile .Would recommend this restaurant and yes I'm seeing the date again .
What a fabulous night. The decor is authentic and relaxed and just sucks you in to that feeling of Italy. Gianni is really welcoming and a fantastic host which adds to the ambiance.
We called ahead and booked a table for six which was ready and waiting even though we were over 15 minutes late. It was really busy when we arrived with only our booked table inside available. The outside patio was also full bar one table that was snapped up by the family who arrived just after us.
All our food arrived speedily and was fantastic, just as we had imagined. The presentation was on point I only wish I’d taken more photos. We each had 2 courses and had zero complaints, on compliments.
Will definitely be heading back soon!
