Discovered this place only today, was looking for somewhere different to have a coffee and cake with friends. Lovely gent behind the counter, we all had coffee and the wonderful Portuguese tarts. Will definitely be visiting again.

Really lovely little cafe. The pastry I had was delicious and excellent friendly service. Very reasonable prices as well.

We are regulars here and it is an amazing Portuguese café which is a hidden gem in Kingston Upon Thames. The coffee is fantastic and the Pastel de Nata are the best we’ve ever tasted. There also other lovely pastries and savouries. The owners charming, very helpful and are always willing to help with menu and advise. We truly recommend this place to everyone.

This is a special little artisan cafe in Kingston upon Thames a slice of Portuguese food just off Kingston Market . The food is simply delicious and the Portuguese cakes heavenly. They also sell foods and some special wines from Their home country. The owners are delightful and service is always with a smile and so friendly. This is a wonderful little dog friendly cafe ❤️

We hadn't found a really good place for a pit stop in Kingston but we have now. Thought we would try Mimosa as it is Portuguese and would have lovely nata tarts such as we had in Madeira earlier in the year. They did indeed look lovely but we were tempted instead by the array of very interesting and different cakes on offer on the counter. We all had something different and they were all absolutely delicious. Apparently there would be a new selection to choose from the next day! Just as well we don't go to Kingston often as we will now never go anywhere else for our excellent coffee and cake. Friendly service and a more relaxed atmosphere than in the chain coffee shops completed a great experience. Do try it for yourself.

We have been coming here for over a year. We drive along way to have a coffee and cake or savory sometimes. The Pastel de nata's are the best around and the Lime cake is very good. I've tried nearly every cake here and they all taste so so good Lovely owners and they feel like family. My favourite place to visit Paul

Popped in for a coffee and cake yesterday morning and wish there was a cafe like this where I live. Coffees were lovely and very good price compared to some of the other cafes we tried while visiting. My brother loves their pastel de nata, while I tried their almond tart which was soo delicious, I wish I had their receipe! :) My mum had the coconut tart and I had a taste - it was light, fluffy & moist - can't wait to visit my brother again so I can try more of their lovely bakes!

Came across this lovely little place, hidden down an alley just off the market place, looking for a place to have a quick coffee. All the cakes looked so good we ended up trying three! Highly recommended.

I stumbled upon Mimosa whilst wandering around Kingston and what a find! A really friendly Portuguese cafe which sells the most incredible, fresh pastel de nata. Lots of sweet and savoury alternatives which the owner is always ready to talk about. Lovely coffee also. Great Portuguese food and wine on sale to take away. It’s down the lane between Patisserie Valerie and Laura Ashley, and is well worth a walk across the Market Place. Stay away from the chains and support local by visiting Mimosa. You won’t be disappointed!

Staying with some friends who took us here for lunch; seriously impressed by this excellent delicatessen. This was by far the most authentic Portuguese food I've had in the UK and reasonably priced as well, with very friendly service. Excellent pastel de nata, empadinhas, and coffee. I made home with loads of charcuterie for some Med-inspited cooking. A great local deli.

What a beautiful and warm place to go and find the finest wine, quality artisan food or to just sit and enjoy the tastiest coffee with a range of sweet or savoury choices to go with. Here you can find that special thing you are looking for to try or just gift to someone that appreciates artisan food, all with a 5 star customer service that will always help and serve you with a big smile and warm welcome feeling. This is now definitely ticked as my regular stop in Kingston. 😊

The couple who own this shop are some of the loveliest and friendliest people on earth. The food is to die for especially their portugese custard tarts. All round brilliant service, friendly atmopshere and fabtastic food. 5 out of 5

You are always greeted with a smile, Mr Mimosa as our 3 year old son calls him is an absolute delight, the coffee is fantastic, the cakes and delicacies from Portugal are amazing. The friendliest and best in Surrey.

I'm Portuguese and I'm living in London and mimosa has most of the tastes I miss from back home. I haven't tried anything I didn't like, everything is delicious. The space is small but the environment is perfect for a relaxing after lunch coffee with friends. The staff couldn't be more friendly. I'm a regular at mimosa and I definitely recommend.

The owners are lovely and their pastel de nata are INCREDIBLE, some of the best i've ever had. Their cafe/deli/bakery is a little off the beaten track, down the riverside archway called Griffin Centre (Market Place).

We have become regulars at Mimosa because of the excellent Portuguese food and drink coupled with very welcoming and friendly service. My partner is Portuguese and she always enjoys her little taste of home

I have visited Mimosa several times and each time I come home with another delicious item! Their selection of fresh pastries and savoury snacks is amazing and perfect for a light lunch and a coffee. If you're looking for authentic Portuguese food, this is the place to be! The owners are really lovely too.

We found this family cafe last weekend. It's on a hidden street close to the market. It's like being back in Portugal. Nice coffee and toasties. We will be back to try those home made natas and cakes. Lovely staff/owner. They also have many products from Portugal on sale like their delicious fish pate. Highly recommended.
