Review Steam Packet Inn - Kingswear

This is a lovely pub with great staff and atmosphere. Lovingly restored by the owner from the ground up, with excellent attention to detail. Would highly recommend for food and beer or a wide range of gins and other spirits. Nice upper deck when the weather is good. Good luck with your enterprise.

Went on the train from Paignton to Kingswear. Once at Kingswear we needed some refreshment. The pub is lovely and has a great atmosphere. The staff are courteous and helpful. We didn’t have food so can’t really comment on that but the beer selection was great. Great for a pit stop before going back on the train.

So today my partner and I did the Dartmouth steam railway . On arrive to Kingswear, we decided to pop in for a drink and food. I’m so glad we came to the Steam Packet Inn, just a minute walk from the station. It’s one of the nicest pubs I’ve ever been in. The pub is a character. Very well decorated. Very happy and friendly staff. The pub is dog friendly. And the food is delicious. If coming to Kingswear, definitely the pub to visit.

Dropped in for a pint on a long country walk. Even though we had a picnic - the food looked so great we had to have a small plate to share……. There were a lot of crab and lobster dishes. The crab bruschetta was perfect.

Came here on a sunny Wednesday afternoon and sat on the roof terrace overlooking Kingswear and Dartmouth. The food was top notch and value for money. This isn’t my first visit and will certainly not be my last.

A real gem in Devon, wonderful staff, stunning inside decor and so comfortable. Amazing choice of food and drink and probably one of the best vistas to see the river Dart and Dartmouth. First class all the way :)

Great after a busy day sightseeing! Few pints of local beer in a fab atmosphere. Staff really friendly and have done a great job decorating for Halloween 🎃

Excellent food and even better staff . Always enjoyed this pub but it has stepped up a level. Can't fault it .

We turned up on a wet day at lunchtime and were warmly welcomed by the bar man. The food was good pub fayre and came quickly. We weren't rushed even though we nursed our single round of drinks, and when we left we were wished a great afternoon. A good experience, and we will be calling in again.

Only went this time for a drink. Last time we went it was a very drab, but now it is a very nice, modern environment with some traditional features. Service was very friendly, though clearing the tables, but not wiping it down results in the loss of a star from me. We went to the upstairs outside terrace, which has a fantastic view across the river through all the yacht masts to Dartmouth. The wine we had was good, and reasonable price for the area. All in all well worth the ferry trip from Dartmouth.

Busy busy busy but we were lucky enough to get a table in the bar. The scallops were delicious and the crab pizza was good too. Helpful staff who were happy for us to sit and chat and good background music. With a superb view and great atmosphere will definitely be back

A small piece of heaven over looking the breath taking view of Dartmouth and also the old steam railway station. Food is top, awesome service kind friendly brilliant atmosphere, live music, great beers. I'd like to be there every night

Had a fantastic night here would well recommend it good atmosphere over looking the marina excellent food in which we really enjoyed sad to say we only found this place on our last night in Devon before our long journey back to Yorkshire will definitely pay another visit next time when we are back down in Devon 🍺🍷🍛👍

After many trips to Dartmouth we only recently discovered this gem of a pub just across the river in Kingswear. Very friendly staff, good selection of drinks and excellent pizza. We will be returning when we are back in May.

Have just eaten the most fantastic pizza and tried some lovely gins. No wait and super friendly staff even on a busy Saturday night!

Love this place. Great beer, wings to die for and wonderful pizzas. Really friendly landlord and staff. We will be back!

We've visited The Steam Packet Inn on several occasions. Outstanding views overlooking Dartmouth, offering great Pizzas's & drink with very friendly staff who go the extra mile. Couldn't recommend it enough!!

Lovely little pub with a very friendly owner. Well worth a visit just for the artisan pizza.

Accueil chaleureux, la pizza était délicieuse et surtout le choix de musique de fond excellent,pour ceux qui aiment plonger dans le passé et écouter des enregistrements live des grands artistes de la pop anglaise...

As soon as the door opened at 11am we were waiting to meet our friends for Coffee! We were welcomed straight in and ended up staying for Lunch too - The Barman made us feel very at home- The Pizzas were so Yummy and the setting was Fab - Thank you - See you in August!
