Absolutely made my day. Popped in for a fish and chips and after a few mins was greeted by Theo with this absolute leviathan. 'Best fish you've ever seen this' he said. And it was. And it tasted incredible. Succulent and crispy. AND the chips were crispy too! They didn't turn to mush even a little bit. Got back to my partner's and she confirmed that this is not a one off. It's whales everytime at the Jolly Fryer. Best chippy ever, no question. Treat yasel. Thanks Theo!

The best chippy in the country & anyone who’s ever tried Jolly’s will agree. Always hot when it arrives, always delicious and we have always received the most incredible service. Cannot recommend Mr Theo and the team any more highly. The food is always fresh and tastes amazing. The team are all very friendly, service is with a smile guaranteed and Mr Theo truly is the heart of the place.
Kids portions are very generous, as are the full size meals, I've honestly enjoyed every meal I've had from the Jolly Fryer and there's never any complaints from the kids either. Halloumi naan is my fave go-to and it's just beautiful 👌
If you haven't tried them already, don't wait any longer, really is something special ❤️

Honestly you couldn't ask for a better owner. Theo is one of the nicest and happiest guys you'll ever meet. The food is fantastic and the best chippy I've ever had. The quality and food portions are unreal! 100% recommended!

Absolutely fantastic we wont go anywhere else. The food is cooked to perfection and you always get such a lovely welcome.

Where else can you get gluten free every day? Their whale-sized fish is honestly some of the best I've had. Really nice staff too.

I was passing by at about 12pm saw only two in the shop being served and lots of parking which as you all know is very unusual.
I wasn’t sure what to have. I was offered the lunchtime fish special 😍😍😍 it’s so good fresh tasty and looks great. You always get real good service from the team they make you feel so welcome 🤗 thanks guys superb as always Xx
