Booked for food. Nice pub, good atmosphere. Great log fire. Good choice of beers. Food fairly standard but very nice. Pies reputedly awesome, but didn't try these. Service quite relaxed timewise.

Always a great evening. A warm welcome, great service, and good value for money. They understand what they are and deliver good quality traditional pub food. I would prefer a better selection of real ales, but I am sure most people would be quite happy with the selection of drinks.

We chose to dine with a party of 6 this evening due to location and Google rating. All six meals were exceptional and there was nothing but compliments from everyone. I opted for the salt and pepper chilli chicken from the specials menu. All portions were very generous and cooked fresh. Can't complain about anything, even the staff were friendly and accommodating. We were more than happy to tip this evening. Thanks to the staff and chef for topping off a great evening. Merry Christmas to you all!

Just been for our first Sunday roast and was not disappointed, I treated my elderly mother, to start we had soda water and cordial which where nice, cheep and cold, we both picked the roast beef, after a wait of around 25 minutes our dinner where served, I had 6 small thickish pieces of medium well roast beef on mine and mother had 2 large pieces, there was 4 different kind of potatoes, Dauphinoise, Hasselback, Roast & Mash, a big homemade Yorkshire pudding, red cabbage, French beans, cauliflower, Peas and Carrots as well as nice thick gravy and it was lovely, the beef was perfectly cooked, best Sunday lunch I have eaten in a long time, mother loved hers as well, for 2 lunches and 3 pints soda water I paid £23.80, you can't complain at that price specially in this day and age, Highly Recommended, We have been back several times now

Amazing welcome from the staff and owners. The room was amazing. If I could give more stars for the quality of food it would be excellent as was the all round experience of this place. Lovely locations also dogs are accommodated for too right in the middle of some beautiful countryside

Was staying in Grizebeck for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, called in on the off chance Saturday tea time and even though they were fully booked up for the evening, they managed to fit us in without a problem. We booked in for Sunday lunch the following day on both occasions the food was of a high standard, plentiful and the chips are to die for. The staff are very friendly and helpful, I would definitely recommend and we will visit again 😋😋

Once again the steak and ale pies stole the show. They are superb, sublime, serious raised pastry pies. Not some silly hat of puff pastry plonked on top of beef casserole! TIP - We pre ordered the pies as not surprisingly they can run out. The 12oz gammon with egg and pineapple also great. Eton mess yo die for and also a special of Belgian waffles for the sweet toothed amongst us. Great local pub. Glad we live close to it!

We tried this pub for the first time today, I fancied a roast and my husband suggested we go the the greyhound. Lovely traditional pub with friendly staff. Their food was lovely, we had pre ordered the roast beef dinner so we could guarantee getting what we wanted. The roast dinner came with roast potatoes, green beans, cauliflower, mash potatoes, cabbage and a Yorkshire pudding. It also came with gravy and extra gravy on the side. Fabulous food, couldn’t fault it at all.
